That's why I'm asking for opinions.
It's a top-notch experience that far outdoes any other shooter in recent years.
idunno about that. It's a pretty standard Heart of Darkness style plot. The gameplay itself is pretty ♥♥♥♥, but the writing is fantastic and it's an ever-escalating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
If you know what you're doing, the game can easily be finished in 4 hours. It's not a long game. It's a nice experience, and very much worth the sale price. Maybe not full price, though.
It's definitely one of those games that you play, then replay a few years later- replaying it right after playing is just not fun at all.
Nothing new to be seen here...
+ for trying though @ devs.
I still prefer Binary Domain. Better dialogues and better gameplay.
I paid full price for this game, and was absolutely blown away. It was well worth the money. The shooting is solid, but not groundbreaking, but the story... The story was one of those rare games that stuck with me really deeply for a long time.
$6 is a steal.
The game has multiple endings, so I guess it has some replay value; the game won't have nearly as much of an impact the second time, but just like with movies like Fight Club you'll see things differently the second time around. That said, you might also find many frustrations that someone would do if they played a game like Tell Tale's The Walking Dead, since most decisions are an illusion.
The gameplay itself is pretty generic, but it's solid and fits well with the story. I still think this game will make anyone that loves good stories in video game cover their walls in spunk, but maybe that's just me.
Replay value is non-existent. Entirely story-based game and 100% linear
It's on sale now, so you pay like 1 buck for an hour - I'd suggest you get it. If you're playing a lot of (3rd person) shooters, then you might find the mechanics boring, but it's the best story I've seen in a shooter so far. Although if you've read a lot of books (especially heart of darkness), you probably know better story-telling :) But it's still a big difference between reading and being in the middle of it.
