some words can explain enough how much a really want a second game. please people can fly ditch the vr port of the game waste of time and money. WORK ON BULLETSTORM 2 and people WILL buy your games. its been 13 ( i think we are hitting 14 now) since the game came out. I truly believe you guys can do it!

Not the most challenging fps shooter out there, story is ok, but it's a game clearly from it's time. It is fun, the rag doll mechanics are also fun, but after a while it becomes basically a gimmick to just clear out enemies more or less.
Simply a couple of enjoyable hours with simple dumb fun.

It's an enjoyable romp

Bulletstorm is a game that reflected a lot of the 2010 era of gaming when everyone saw Gears of War success with its: grim tone, excessive violence, and edgy perpetually ticked off characters who were constantly swearing, and thought so this is what players want. Bullet Storm wheres its inspiration on its sleeve a very bloody and dirty sleeve with the words d*ck and f*** tattooed on. Its not a very subtle game heck at times it feels like its taking the p*ss the fact that Duke Nukem is a playable character should tell you the games tone.
Gameplay wise its a cover based shooter like gears with a twist you have a whip that you can use to pull objects and enemies toward you and then kick/shoot them away into hazards. The game rewards your creativity of kills with a score system at checkpoints you use the points you earned for ammo and gun upgrades so it pays to be creative. However I found the system easy to cheese just standing by some spikes or exposed wires whipping and kicking enemies into them gave me enough points to unlock almost all the upgrades in the campaign.
The game does constantly change things up with enemy variety but one type of enemy was immune to being whipped around they were the worst since I couldn't make use of the games score system to my liking and had to cover shoot them which is the games lowest way of making points. There are big boys as well that eat up your ammo and can do a lot of damage I save all my secondary fire ammo for them mostly, each weapon has a charge shot deals more damage once you unlock it. My only gripe with it is you need to activate it with the charge key then fire it, I don't know why you can't just fire it with the charge key it adds another second and things can get pretty hectic with enemies shooting or running toward you, or was it necessary to add animations that make all my guns look like their overheating.
Set-pieces are another gears staple bullets got right they are fun and way over the top. Seriously the amount carnage you incur at times is not only ridiculous but awesome remember Duke Nukem fits right at home here.
Its a pretty brisk 8 hour game I did find it quite easy though. I beat the game on hard mode on my first go and didn't die as often as I thought I would, and that's because this was a console exclusive first playing using a keyboard and mouse was never part of the experience however the game had one big difficulty spike right at the end where it suddenly spawns in 6 big boys and a bunch of enemies at once in the final level which is whats supposed to happen in the penultimate level but I took nearly an hour to get through that. Still I think the game is worth playing there's enough enjoyment here I would wait for a steam sale though.

What a blast playing this. The gameplay might felt outdated but the dopamine rush still fresh & exhilarating. I wish for a sequel but i'm not the one with the capital.

It's not a bad shooter, something different for sure. Could have done with some decent cover mechanics though.
