Not enough of a change to justify a full price.
The only difference is a little bit of saturation & motion blur. I prefer the original.

lol this is why the gaming industry today sucks

comparing graphics of a remaster, of a game that's only like 5-6 years old

Can't remember when it came out, but its not like the original has even aged, it still looks fantastic

Compare this to the System Shock remake coming out lol

But tbf this is a 'remaster'

In which I could say, compare this to Turok, where the original PC version doesn't even run natively in modern OS's

But jaja charge triple A price just to remove GFWL, nice bait randy

To my eyes, the new one has better smoke / fog and water (And textures of course).
The old one (strangely) seems to have more and better shadows. (Maybe there's a brightness setting that needs adjustment?)
New one seems to have more of a yellow / brown filter, while the old one was clearer with a touch of blue tint.

Not going to bother upgrading. I was lucky, GFWL was never an issue for me.

Did they accidently switch the videos around? Original looks better lol.

I agree the game didn't need a remaster or whatever they did here. At high resolutions it still looks great and in most cases (on the video) i prefer the original vs the new one. Total rip off imo at the asking price. In the same way bioshock games didn't need a remaster, at least those were given for free. Then it seems there is some point releasing them on consoles, but i don't really care. If they want to spent resources on remasters, at least spent them on some old classics. There are many of them and much better gameplay wise than anything being released today. Planescape torment is one that is coming soon and that really deserves to be released for the younger ones to learn what rpg means.

"at least spent them on some old classics"

Exactly man, like you mention planescape

I can somewhat appriciate remasters for modern games, like you said though normally given out for free, not just bioshock but darksiders too

But even remasters of modern games end up having bugs, infact they have new bugs entirley which sometimes become more problematic then the original games ever were

Putting duke in the game just cus randy owns the duke IP now (rip duke) does not justify the cost of this remaster, especially while they never bothered to remove GFWL from the original before removing it from the store page, gotta love how gearbox removed Megaton edition of Duke 3d from store as well

I normally defend gaming companies, even the triple A multi million dollar ones, but gearbox show no respect for their customers and practically laugh in their faces

At least we have companies like Nightdive who take old classics and revive them, take the Turok remasters, great example.. It's not a remake, but the game NEEDED a remaster

Now people can play Turok 1 and 2 on modern PC's without any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about, and with high resolution support and truly lives up to the title 'remaster', and nightdive are even making a REMAKE of system shock 1

So much better then reviving franchises that are barley that old just to make a quick buck, I saw the 1st review for this game, guy said he "grew up playing the original bulletstorm"... And it made me cringe, grew up playing it? It only came out about 5-6 years ago?

ffs, there's franchises out there that are decades old that could really use the 'remaster' treatment

CORRECT

nothing else really, motion blur is blatantly noticeable with some shaders, apart from that theres NOTHING that is substantial, doesnt give it a reason to ask for full price especially with that crappy denuvo stuck up the games A R S E :devilskiss:
