Map for Lethal ?
Which map is preferable for Lethal ?

Providence Ridge seems too big for me
but are smaller maps like Meager Valley more advantageous ?

The map you know best and like best is best for your first time in Lethal.

Once you learn the map, all the short cuts and place of interest it gets much easier to navigate, unless your in Lethal. The new spawn rate within plague territories makes cross country driving much more dangerous.

Good luck and have fun, I hope you do not experience the Lethal zone plague territory spawn bug I am. Its made playing in Lethal impossible. I can not deal with bloaters and other freaks spawning on top of me inside empty rooms. :(

IMLTHO, Providence Ridge is the best for a first playthrough on Lethal:

Your starting position has a really good view of the area, allowing decent cover. The Diner to the west is a great second and mid-game position, because of the CLEO drop and the fuel tank. Finally, the Fire Station that gives Water AND Power in a single built in facility is a great final location - that one facility saves two outposts that you'll probably need for food - also, you can build a shooting range to complement the built-in training facility and kitchen and have all of the bonuses to health and stamina right there.

Either. Providence Ridge has one of the best bases for long term sustainability, Prescott Fire Station. The town has all outpost points except materials so you can make the entire area around the base a safe zone. Providence also has a river mostly clear of obstacles, giving you a main highway to travel across the map. Meagher Valley is really flat and its pretty easy to get around in a vehicle, plus it has some really interesting bases. Bridge Fort is extremely defensible while progressing mid game and Container Fort has built in facilities that are second to none imo.

Providence Ridge by far is new lethal zone player friendly. Starter base comes with built in infirmary. The warehouse is basically the best 6 person base in all the game for a four person price that will last you all the way through mid-game. And endgame gives you firehouse for players without builder perk and lumber mill for those who want it all.

So providence ridge then. what i dislike about providence ridge is the uphill travel. consumes a lot of fuel. some of the missions are spawned on the other side of the map. Well i hope i don't get swarmed trying to get prescott fire station :steamhappy:
