State of Decay 2

State of Decay 2

Statistiche:
Survivor Count, Base Size, Outpost Count???!!!???
Hey, can we up these numbers??? Like, there is so much content, but it's so hard to get what you want when 3/4 of it is locked behind limited access. 9 to 11 survivors? 3 max large spots? and 5 max outposts? Also it's weird that you can't have PCC Sleep to set a certain time of day. Would be nice if we could get a little extra on these things.

How and where do you obtain this. Not talking about heartland.

The lumber mill is in providence ridge.
You can have 7 outposts with maxed command center, the Network antenna, and a Red Talon hacker (you must grind prestige in Daybreak to hire a soldier, the soldier must have a Hacking skill).

12 Survivors can be achived when having a Builder leader, and after destroying the Plague Hearts you get visits from some survivors who want to join. The first one lets you choose any of the three, while the others only lets you choose the leader. Once you have 12 you are happy with, simply move on to another map so that you get to play with 12 for more than a few minutes (the final mission comes just after this).

10 Survivors can be achieved by helping the "soldier enclave" until you're supposed to return to their base with a soldier who has taken some alone time to think. You can choose to recruit him instead, and they very often have no 5th skill, which makes him very useful. (Also usually very competent otherwise).

Edit: btw, you're not supposed to have so many survivors and so big bases that you simply have the best of everything and can get all the benefits.

I'm still at the truck stop in providence ridge and I manage to get 5 outpost and 11 beds with 10 people, 100% happiness and I don't loose anything each day. I know i should move soon to the lumbermill but i don't know if i should.

Thanks for the advice on the map location, but then that means you have to be dependant on a random chance DLC character inorder to get 7 outposts. So the dissapointment still remains, unless there is some way to rig the spawning.

And 4 large is a good start, but with so many options, still feels very limiting considering how many options we actually have.

Seems pretty redundant for all that though considering the first game was a LOT better at that. I'd think that you'd be somewhat limited to the outposts, but considering how many beds you can actually get, the survivor count is way too small.

I'm a builder, but even then, just thinking about if I were to play another leader, it's really limiting to only have 9 people which means the skills they have limit you to less then half of your base options, especially with so many built ins that some people might find useless (with my sniper tower, why wouldn't I swap my built in watch towers for a kitchen or a farm)
The point of the game is not to get everything, but to choose what you need the most. lol People asking for character customization and bases that allow every facility are missing the whole point of the game.

Not asking for all the facilities, asking to be able to make a actual base. It's more for asthetics really. And While character customization would be cool, the randomness of the characters makes sense since it's random people. But they could add a extra mode for when you beat the game, it would let you customize them.
I also think that the limitation of 10-12 survivors and only 3 at each Enclave is something that should be adressed in SoD3, since it doesn't connect well with the story.

In SoD2, having more than 8 survivors at the base is pretty redundant visually, since there are never more than 7 + you physically present.

the container fort is an exception, all my 12 (11+"me") survivors are visible an fighting. i guess bc of the "castle doctrin"
You don't need a builder leader to have 12 members, when you have 9 and cancel an enclaves project, they will ask if they can join you and the whole enclave joins.

Ah yes... but those are 3 Bartenders, often with severe drawbacks. Perhaps the 3 whiny "it's your fault that we'd starve to death" guys will also join you if you give them enough food, but they are even more useless.

I guess technically you can have 12 survivors without doing the Builder legacy thing, but not 12 useful ones.

Er no, Boozehounds for sure has a recruit the whole enclave, but so does automechanics and so does The Soldiers.

As well there are special forced join missions such as my brother is a cop.

Any hoot picking up the Soldiers is generally the best you can get in this situation.
Yes, I would recommend recruiting the soldiers enclave, the medics, drunks and mechanics work too but soldiers have no fifth skills so you can teach them what you want.

Do not recruit the beggars, they often have bad traits and lower than a hundred stam/health
