Here is a list containing the speed, range and fuel consumption of all the vehicles in the base game. I am doing this testing by myself, so it is a work in progress per September 24.

An explanation of what I mean with speed and handling: Speed is both top speed and acceleration. The latter is useful when trying to ram zombies, while the former is useful when travelling long distances on the map. Handling is the ability to dodge zombies and obstacles, braking and grip in general, as well as the ability to shake off zombies when doing backwards donuts.

I did a timed run in Drucker Valley, from the crossroads just beneath Mike's Concrete (my base) and making a circuit to the North-East (past the Barricaded Strip Mall) and back South again past the Vogel House. This circuit was chosen because it has some tight corners and is long enough to easily show the difference in fuel economy.

(Note that the Anniversary update have messed with the speed and handling of some cars, but this will probably be fixed soon)

Timed run:

Gold: Road Mangler 2.23
Silver: Road Racer MX 2.26
Bronze: Hellion 2.32
(note; the Kaiser, Mega Max and Brogan Sport came in at 2.36 and 2.37. Given the inaccuracy of doing this the hard way with a stop-watch, one attempt only, and having to run the car completely out of gas at the same spot every time, a few seconds on and off should be expected)

Worst: Utility truck 3.27 (note also here that the Cargo Van and Repair van both came in at 3.25)



Fuel consumption of 1 can of fuel on the timed run:

Gold: Road Mangler 48%
Shared Silver: Hellion and Brogan Sport 49%
(same insecurity should be applied here as well, since I not only rounded up/down but also measured the fuel gauge with a measuring tape on my TV)

Worst: Repair Van 84%



Range score calculated by taking the extra capacity % in the gas tank after refueling 1 gas can, multiply that by 100, then adding 100 before subtracting the fuel consumption percentage:

Shared Gold: Mega Max and Trail Beast, both at 95
Silver: Pilato 82

Worst: Zedbuster 44
(note here that Maximillian came in at 45)

Gold: Burninator
Silver: Trail Beast
Bronze: Desperado

Worst: Utility Truck (not only is it long and low and gets stuck on anything, it also has a plow which gets stuck on everything too - it is more useless off the road than a Road Racer MX)

Pyrohawk|4|5|Fast|Very Sturdy|Very good|2.44|66|43| Its engine is from a Brogan Sport, its body from a Hellion - but it consumes a lot more fuel than those, even when not using the fireworks.

Meatwagon|2|8|Very Slow|Good|Very Poor|3.24|79|60| This is a regular cargo van with the extra ability to put pieces of meat on the ground behind it - I tried to lure in the zeds on a hostile enclave but wasn't impressed.

Burninator|6|6|Fast|Good|Good|2.48|63|76| By far the best truck in the game. In addition to raised suspension and flamethrowers on both sides that gets rid of zombies lodged to the doors, it is as fast as a Miragra and has almost as good economy as the Viking. Maybe not worth a 1000 influence, but if you buy a car from the mechanic enclave and then an upgrade kit, you are at 700-900 already, and this is definitely an upgraded vehicle.

Yeah, I should have done that in the first place, but now the numbers are outdated so I don't know if I'll bother. There was a guy who did make a table earlier, though. Can't remember where we discussed that.

The quick breakdown is cars fuel consumption tops out at only two different numbers. .75 fuel per min or .60 fuel per minute.

The most fuel effiecnt cars are as follows

Brogan Rapscallion
Brogan Trekker
Mega Max
Miragra
Pilato
Road Racer
Royale
Survey Car
Taxi
Trail Beast
Vagabond
Viking

There is no difference in fuel efficiency between these cars the only difference is how they handle

IE accleration, Top Speed, Impact, handling, and drift

The two best cars are simply the Megamax and the Trail Beast.

Megamax should be your main goto car, while the Trail Beast should be your goto for supply runs.

With the Viking or the Pilato being the choice for when you need 4 seats. Other choices are simply flavor but less efficient.
