Weird midget sound and very slow movement

I am in middle of killing 100 bandits in lynchwood when my character (mechromancer) seems to have a midget stuck to her. Gunfire sounds like midgets screaming which is funny for a while and movment is a very slow crawl - it makes game unplayable - anyone know whats gone wrong and how to fix - teleporting back to sanctuary doesn help, neither does dying.

are you using the smg that you get from a mission in lynchwood cant remeber the name but it will make you slower and makes sounds like a midget

Yes - what a stupid gun. I didnt spot anythng in description of gun that said it would do that and I wanted a incendiary gun for part of the mission - many thanks for your help

You are using the "Bane" upon using that gun those things will take effect, fix dont use it
