Borderlands 2 Freezes on loading save
So when i go to load my saved game at the bloodshot stronghold, i see the normal first person view of my character holding his gun, standing where he should be, but the game freezes right there, with the textures half-loaded and everything. I cant even ALT+F4 out of it. I have to log out of my computer. It's a low-level Psycho character (level 16, i think) at the bloodshot stronghold. I was just doing side-missions the last time i was able to play. HELP?

I am having the same issue. When I get past the loading screen, I get to play for a couple seconds before the game completely freezes. I have tried creating a new character, but the issue is still present.

EDIT: I figured it out. Turns out the issue is caused by Nvidia PhysX. When I put the setting on medium or high, it would freeze. When I put it on low the game would run fine.

Thank you so much. I can't believe the exact problem still there.
Geforce Experience "OPTIMIZED" my game setting. and it's been crashing. You post saved my day.
Thank you.

I logged in just to say thanks. 5 years later I just had this same issue.

Can't repeat this enough - spent hours trying to pinpoint the problem, from verifying gamefiles to windows 7 compatibility mode and everything. Turned everything to max settings, but PhysX low, it works. :lunar2019wavingpig:

Physx still broken. I thought it was a laptop driver thing I was having issues with but nope... just game breaking issues in an older game that will never be patched out....
