Shield Bypass Glitch

Here's the story: I have a Lv. 58 Commando with a Lv. 56 "The Transformer" with Immunity to shock and I'm soloing Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. I noticed as a loader with no arms shot me with it's optic shock blast that my shield remained full...and my health took the damage. I thought maybe because of the of the numerous close calls in the fight prior that the game was simply trying to catch up with what my health & shield were currently at so I tested the shield when I found a safe spot by shooting myself with a shock rocket launcher. Again the shield remained full but my health took a huge hit. If there was enough damage to go through the shield, the shield should be depleted then but it wasn't. Is this a glitch?

According to the Wiki, that's the way the Transformer works. If the total shock damage is more than the shield's capacity, the extra is subtracted from your health.

No problem. FWIW, you still could be right about it being a glitch. I have no idea if it's _supposed_ to work that way. :-) It does seem kind of odd that extra damage is taken from your health, instead of being taken from the shield. Maybe they intended for it to work that way. Maybe not. :-)
