The unlock alerts only pop up when you start a fresh character. How many characters do you plan on starting per day?
If you stick to one toon all the way up to UVHM it will be quite awhile before you´ll see it again.
It just feels... wrong. It feels like a mod that takes away from that part of the story in a way that's objectively miniscule, but feels worse than that. The game makes a big deal of giving you "The first gun" that you keep with you until getting a better one, but you start the game with a) three massive rifles, and b) a series of irritating messages just to use said rifles.
I'm the same sort of guy that uninstalls DLC so the map screen isn't cluttered with places I don't go to. I'm the ultimate form of addon OCD, and twelve seconds of popups to access something I don't want is UNCLEAN AS FOCK
DLC don´t clutter the map screen ion this game, just your fast travel station which is cluttered anyways.
It´s unclean, yeah, but you have three playthroughs and a boatload of content to go through before you ever have to think of it again.
It takes about 5 minutes to get better gear though and I really appreciate the option to have something else than that crappy Dahl pistol.
Just drop them and pretend they never existed if you care that much.
I wish I could disable DLC too, but no one else seems to care. That's why first time experience in games is ruined these days. Instead of just enjoying the story, you get showered by an avalanche of out-of-game crap.
First time experience in games is ruined because some ruin it for themselves with all the whining about trivial things like a notification about something they have. If you are so worried about the story, why not just go read a good book. Or, don't people do that in <the current year> ?
I was wrong, they were right. The older a game gets, the worse the new players get, they even necro whining threads.
I'd contest this but I am actually gen Z so
I'm just
just gonna
just gonna leave
I'll just leave
