Trading: How
How does trading in borderlands work? I've seen people trade, but it was a one sided trade, a guy asks for a weapon, another user has it and gives it to him. So, I'd like a level 80 perfect Pimpernel with the corrosion element, if anybody has it, do I need to give them something in return? If not isnt it just a donation

Yes, there is a in game trading element to reduce the people that just steal your items and run. Press x when right infront of the player you want to trade with, and it will open a trade menu when they accept the offer. Then just put the guns from your inventory and hit trade. You can also duel for the weapons you are trading.

yes, but all the trades i've witnessed were always a guy asking for a specific item, another one saying he has it, and then giving it to him. Nothing in return, is this really how it plays out? Because if it is only one person giving to another with nothing is return, its just a donatio no?

You can dupe easily in this game:
1. Equip the item you want to dupe
2. Open the Trade Menu, and put it in
3. Both need to klick on Duel.
4. Dropp the Item you want to dupe
5. The other guy kills the guy who dropped the item.
6. The person who has dropped the item loots it from the ground now. The other guy has it as he won the Duel about the item.

That is why it is basically a donation but the person is not losing the item either. That is why there is no big deal in just being friendly and dupe someone the item as you are not losing it.
