steam cloud sync?

How do I manually sync to steam cloud? Ive had the option before but havent seen it yet.It tells me it cant sync to steam cloud and used to give me the option"sync from computer" "sync from steam cloud" now all im seeing is sync from steam cloud and Im losing play time because of this.Anyone know a manual way to fix this so it will sync from my solo playing?

ya could turn off cloud, then you will only have your computer saves
so you wont be losing anything

sorry but the cloud will only make you cry in the long run. It will render hours of work into nothing. Mark my words.

If I turn off cloud then switch to multiplayer will I have the option to resync cloud from my computer saves?

Cloud sync can never overwrite anything without your permission.

yeah i replayed after the error and was rerolled a few hours back

right i did something stupid hmmmm? didnt even give me an option when I hit cancel then reloaded the game didnt get the error but was rolled back again.If im so stupid you should have the answer

actualyl when you load cloud after a steam error it over writes your own saves so try learning what your talking about.

Anyways yea if I remember correctly you have lsot your work, sorry but there isnt anything i know of that can be done

Well ive always gotten the option to NOT over-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-write my saves.

And we do need dirtbikes.

Sounds like at some point you downloaded from the cloud. Most people eventually come to grief doing this. Always upload to the cloud. From your Steam library, right click your BL2 game and select properties. Click the updates tab and see if your checkbox for enabling cloud sync is checked or unchecked. If this box is checked but you're not being given the option to upload or download from the cloud, then I suspect some part of your Steam install got hammered somehow. I would address this issue with Steam customer support. You would probably have to set up a support account.
If the box is unchecked, then I would check it and see if this corrects the upload to or download to option.
Either way, checked or unchecked, I would try restarting Steam both ways. Completely exit out of Steam, (right click the Steam icon in your sys tray and click exit).

I leave my box unchecked. When I exit Steam it still says cloud is syncing, but at least when I start BL2 I'm confident the game is loading from files on my local computer.

In your instance, this next might be useless but you can try it anyway, Make a copy of your current save file (Documents/my games/BL2/willowgame/save data/file with a bunch of numbers).....save the copy in a safe place, then right click your save file and click properties and see if you can restore to a previous version. If you can restore, you might try this to see if you can recover some of your lost time.
