You see? Had you followed the advice of chilling out, you may have actually read that part instead of skimming over it and posting pointless rants.
Me? Don't give a rat's caboose. Play and have fun. ^^
Also BL1 never had split-screen. The only way you played it was via a third party program.
You also say that these guys are the butthurt ones who turned it into a flame contest, but I see plenty of hearts in your posts. You must be the butthurt one who's flaming everybody.
But there's one thing I won't do: inviting people from forums into my games.
For the rest, it is good to discuss things, even if they might seem trivial. I take frequent breaks from running around toting oversized guns and shift-tab to here to talk about this game.
Granted, there isn't much positive going on, but that's just the times. I haven't been on a positive games-forum in years. This state games-forums are in is accepted culture now.
You know "funner" is in the dictionary now because of the bastardization of the English language and the devolution of the human race. But I have still yet to see an intelligent person use the word other than when replying to or quoting someone else.
Also playing a fps with a controller is hilarious thanks for that joke.
Don't look now, but you're using the word when replying to a quote, so what does that say about your intelligence?
How about disabled people like me? Thanks to the controller, I can play most any game. Unless you think that disabled people are hilarious too, in that case I'll laugh with you because I get into some pretty weird situations because of being disabled, LOL!
There's a lot more posibilities for local coop games on the pc then there is on any console.
"No coop because keyboard + mouse only for one person" - FAKE, you can either add another keyboard and mouse or just use joysticks (I would go for the kb+m for player 1 and controller for player 2).
"Screen is too small" - FAKE, you don't even know if the OP has a bigass monitor or not, AND you can hook up your pc to your TV, it's 2012 people.
"rofl playing with a joystick" - People don't tell you how to play your games, don't tell them how to play their games. If somebody doesn't have the skills to play it with a mouse but can do far better with a joystick then let him be. This is basically the same BS the fighting game community does with the whole arcade stick vs joysticks.
"get it for console if you want coop!" - Idiotic answer, not gonna even bother answering this kind of replies.
As much as I don't like how the OP is replying to most of you (Too much swearing and he looks kinda immature) I gotta say that he has a point. There's no real reason as to why the pc version lacks coop, it's just laziness, nothing else (And I know how good the port is but yes, this was a HUGE slip off).
I personally don't care about the coop mode but yeah, if games as process intensive as serious sam 3 can have 4 players split screen then this should be able to (Is not even DX10).
its sad but pc is lucky to get the game at all - why isnt halo on pc anymore?? sad that consoles get priority but thats where the money is
as for controller - i use both - controller is convienent and more confortable to sit at couch then at my pc
but keyboard/mouse (or trackball in my case) is more precise
consoles are the priority for most of the companies, that's true, but if you're going to port a game to the PC you better do it right, otherwise you'll get the community's backlash.
This is especially more hilarious because gearbox did all that "claptrap's love letter" thingy yet at the end the game was strapped out of one of the most basic features it has for consoles.
We shouldn't really have the "I'm lucky because they released this for PC" mentality, we pay money for their stuff, they aren't doing us any favors (And gearbox is known for porting their stuff to the PC anyway so this making it to the PC was a given since forever, is nothing "lucky" at all).
