clicking to go to my inventory screen will sometimes cause the inventory to bug out and not scroll. other times the game selects something other than the item I clicked, causing me to equip or store the wrong item, or in the worst case, sell the wrong item.
If anything, I'd prefer to not have to click to switch between my inventory view and equip view. same with my skills too. I want to be able to see everything all at once, the current UI is controller friendly in that it focuses on specific areas, whereas a mouse could freely flow between all areas without issue, making this an annoyance.
It's a massive improvement from Borderlands, but I know what you mean. It doesn't bother me too much. What drives me nuts is the driving mechanic.
Also: Shared stash - 4 slots? WTF? So, there is an easy way to share stuff between characters, now. That is indeed awesome and as a solo player I thank you for that! But then you are making it such an annoying chore to actually move stuff around - 4 items at a time. I don't get it.
Quest tracking. Why only one at a time? Map: Why can't I just see all quests in the area at the same time? Why can it not be clearer what is a passable route and what isn't?
(damn I'm in a foul mood today)
That's so counter-intuitive, though. Your left hand is on WASD and your right hand is on the mouse. Why would they place the keys used in menus nowhere near those two places? Many, many games allow you to use WASD to navigate menus and E to accept/equip. Borderlands 2 is NOT one of those games. OP's post is a legitimate gripe and one of the very few I have with this game.
Actually...you CAN drag and drop weapons around.. and Borderlands automatically switched tabs for you
