MUTE AUDIO ON FOCUS LOST does not work (ALT-TAB)

This option in the Audio tabs says that is mutes ALL audio when the game loses focus or is minimized. However the audio is NOT muted. Even while writing this post the game music loop and environmental sound effects like wind blowing is still audible. I have tried toggling the setting both On and Off, but it does not mute properly. It does however turn the percentage of the volume down. This leads me to believe that the programmers lowered the volume instead of muting it, but didn't lower it to 0%.

I can provide a video proof of this to Gearbox if necessary.

set it to off in audio settings. it fades out when you alt-tab.

It fades to a lower volume but I hear it. It is not completed muted. When a program loses focus it should automatically stop all active loops. I can hear the music right now even while I'm posting this. It's extremely annoying.

Your computer must be broken because it works fine for me.

Try using Google KING, its not just my computer that is having the issue. BTW I built my own system and am a Computer Systems Engineer, I know my systems isn't the problem, its the functionality of their code that needs to be addressed. If it were my system all applicatoins would do this, not just one. The ONLY two that do this are BL1 and 2.

For other people the game actually crashes when they alt-tab... Clearly its THEIR function which is called when the game is put in a wait state.

Same for me too. Sometimes I alt tab out to check mail or whatnot and sound is very very annoying.

I know this was posted in 2012 but I've just got back into BL2 and beat it for the first time now haha and then decided to buy the BL: The Pre Sequel
[𝔽𝕀𝕏𝔼𝔻] For this option to work you need to run the game in 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲, 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆 works too and really makes no difference. Found in the Video section in option. I figured I'd post this now for anyone looking current day like I was. Glad to help! 😁😄🤗
