Where can I get E-tech weapons?

As the topic says, where can I get E-tech weapons? I have seen a few enemies weilding them, but I have not found any equippable ones, besides the mission-specific one...

If you have any, where did you find them, and at what level?

Drops, chests, quests,etc...Their probably the rarest of the gear outwhere I'd say besides Oranges and Pinks.

Are they obvious in any way, or do their designs blend in with normal guns?

I'm pretty sure you'll know I think they have a slightly different purple color for the weapon's name. There's a quest early one where you investigate the use of an e-tech weapon and you get to use it for the duration of the quest so you'll get to see it and use it and know what to expect if you pick one up.

It turns out that I do have a few. I did not realize that there were two shades of purple... I have an SMG that shoots acid blobs and a pistol that shoots homing slag shots.

The SMG was pretty great, but I outleveled it, and my new equipment outclasses it, not to mention that my new gun only uses one ammo per shot, instead of two like the E-tech one... The E-tech had signigicantly better aim, though...

Also like to add that evey time I've found an E-Tech gun in a container or from the slot machines my guy says "Wow... Just wow..." or some other silly thing out loud. It's pretty obvious.

The character remarks aren't for E-Tech weaponry specifically, they'll occasionally say that when you see any good loot. I think even for blues.

Wait... that's an E-Tech? How can you tell? I thought that's just a normal purple weapon. I have pretty much the same weapon. It's a LVL 10 "Deep Blaster". Awesome weapon. I somehow expected E-Tech weapons to shoot purple like the gun in that mission...

Don't really sure about E-tech, but title color is more deep than over purples i have seen around. And it's really weird gun :D

E-tech weapons are specifically PINK labelled items, it's close to purple, but next to each other, they are obviously different colours, the weapon brand is irrelevant to being E-tech or not.

E-Tech is pretty much weaponry that the manufacturers have made via reverse engineering Eridian weaponry from the first game. They can shoot lasers, laser orbs,etc. Just think how the Eridian weapons worked in the first game.
