Medical Mystery: X-Com-municate Quest problem

I got the e-tech gun, and been killing the bandits, but then they stopped showing up once I killed 15/25. The location indicator hasn't changed, but they arnt spaning anymore. Did it bug out on me?

I had the same problem. Then ran out of ammo. Ended up running over to the next set of buildings to get the rest all the while scraping for ammo.
That wasn't even the worst part. The first time I beat him the "search/item" Icon went undergournd not even near his body so I couldn't even collect it. I had to kill myseld and reload it to get it.

Same thing happened to me. I quit the game and restarted though instead of killing myself.

Just restart the game or go and kill normal bandits somewhere

Pretty much this. I ran into the same issue of only 15 or so spawning, so I just ran to other nearby bandit camps and finished the quest off.
