Open Wide shotgun challenge is not available for me???

So I know that I need 750 close range kills on the Open Wide shotgun challenge in order to unlock the Shotgun Sniper one. My problem is that the Open Wide challenge is not under my challenge list. I've got the shotgun challenges for kills, second winds, and crits, but not Open Wide. There is only 1 undiscovered challenge under the section so I am not sure if the game glitched out or what, but someone help please D:

It unlocked for me after getting the Shotgun Sniper challenge, and I instantly unlocked Rank 5 as it became available, since the game still counts those kills

As I said, it unlocked for me as I completed Shotgun Sniper, like, all five ranks. The game then proceeded to show me getting five ranks of Open Wide, so maybe that would work for you then

any chance you accidentally clicked it and put it on watch, which would put that challenge at the top of the list instead of in the shotgun section? I'm guilty of doing this a lot and takes me forever to figure out where my challenge went.

Hmr... did you complete those entirely, as in, Rank 5?

@dARE, yes i just checked 3 times, its not there
@Connec, no I have not completed any of them, but in order the shotgun challenges are:
Shotgun! (1)
Lock, Stock, and... (2)
Faceful of Buckshot (1)

@Jonah

- Open Wide starts as "undiscovered".
- You do need to unlock it, it's not a glitch or a bug.
- I'm not sure which of the 3 shotgun challenges unlocks it, but it unlocks pretty early in the game, so I'm guessing "Shotgun Surgeon" is the one you need to max out to unlock "Open Wide"
- After unlocking "Open Wide", you'll get another "undiscovered". This one is "Splish Splash" and requires rank 5 of "Open Wide" before you can unlock it. "Open Wide" takes a very long time to max out.

I recommend varkids in Tundra Express, as they swarm in larvae form and are easy to farm the gun challenges.
