Unsuccessful Norfleet farming

The Norfleet is the one legendary weapon i can't get my hands on. I gave up attempting to get Vermivorous to spawn & hoping it will drop a Norfleet. I then decided to farm Hyperius but even he wouldn't drop a Norfleet. The only legendary items i have been able to get off Hyperius is a Whisky Tango Foxtrot and Shredifier. This was after 33 attempts on TVHM (i havent played UVHM). I got annoyed & started killing Hyperius on normal mode just to see if he does drop a level 30 Norfleet & i have got nothing besides a Hornet, Whisky Tango Foxtrot, Shredifier and a Retcher. These seem like constant drops from Hyperius. So my question is whether Hyperius drops the Norfleet at all or the Norfleet is a unbelievably ultra rare drop from both Hyperius & Vermiverous.

Ah, I see. I wondered yesterday why I was able to pick up ammo when I was full. Thanks for the info!

This should also mean that the monsters you face are scaled to 4player mode, so they might be more difficult as well. Did you notice any difference?

Not really. I was just putzing around in TVHM with my 61, so everything was dead pretty quickly.

So even if it went from 1 to 4 player mode, stuff was too low level to dent you anyways. Not a valid experiment I guess, would have to test with appropriate level characters to be sure of a noticable difference in difficulty.

Before the recent patch, it took me around 70 kills for my first Norfleet off Hyperius. I've heard some people get it in their first few tries, it's just luck. After another 100 or so kills I got another 5 Norfleets.

Recently after the patch, I started farming for level 72 Norfleets and after about 30 kills, I got my first one yesterday and it was a Shock variant. One thing I noticed is he drops legendaries a LOT better than previously and the chances of you scoring a Norfleet seems higher. I got Shreddifiers, Hornets, Sledge's and WTF's quite regularly compared to before. Got a Bee off him as well :)

I have killed Hyperius over 400-500 times and still no Norfleet. I'm not going to give up hope though so i'm just going to keep farming and hope fot the best.

There are good days and bad days just like with any other farming, set goal
of say 24 hyperius kills per day, so you don't burn out. He will drop the Norfleet!

Getting a Norfleet from Vermivorous is pretty easy, providing you can spawn him. Get 4 players in your game to give him a greater chance of spawning and you should get him to spawn in under three hours. (It's best to farm him on UVHM, not on normal or TVHM).

No matter how long you wait if an Ultimate Badass does not evolve into Vermivorous within around 3 minutes, then it'll never happen. So, just move on to the next spot and try again.

Below is a video of Bahroo testing the drop-rate of Vermivorous after the 2014 patch. He got 3 Norfleets from the first 6 kills of Vermivorous. He drops them a lot. I've gotten about 10-15 low-level Norfleets from him after like 50 kills.
