Gunzerker is really good at mowing through swarms of enemies in the later game "IF" you have the right gear for he is very much loot dependant. He "CAN HAVE" some of the best consistant damage in the game.
Psycho is also very good late game just running through everything in his path and is not nearly as gear dependant, but he is also the worst chraracter in the early game and can have severe handicaps in very specific situations without completely changing his playstyle (skillsets.) He is also the most effective at delivering tons of frustrating fun!
Mechromancer is the absolute strongest and effective character in the beginning game due to her pet doing the heavy lifting for you, freeing you up to focus more on the specifics of the game and your playstyle. But then she is not so good late game because her pet doesn't continue to scale after a point, even though the rest of the game does.
Siren is hands down the absolute strongest and most effective in co-op with all her extremely helpful skillsets for any situation. But that is co-op and you asked for soloing, in which case she is one of the most mediocre characters, never out-performing anyone else, but also never really showing as much weakness.
Commando though is the most nuetral character. He is probably the most balanced character in the game, being effective at any situation. But again, not really shining in any situation either. Just the most rounded out character throughout the entire game. Almost "feels" like Gearbox intended everyone to play the game with Axton, and then use the other characters "just for fun."
Assassin is by far the best high damage character in the game. But his damage generally comes in very short bursts and takes some practice to develope. This is the character that the more time you spend on him, the more powerful he becomes. (Note: he's extremely flawed at the moment which doesn't affect single player, but definitely hurts co-op with multiple Zeros.)
Against bosses? Well I don't really like doing them solo..it's too boring.
So my mate joins me with his crazy, anarchistic teen and (after 600stacks from the Beatdown bar) we just anihilate those punny bosses.
You really don't need a class mod at all. Sal reduces cooldown by 3 seconds and adds 3 seconds to his gunzerk duration for his every kill. So unless you are killing raid bosses, Sal's gunzerk will be on all the time anyways. Renegade or monk class mod is way better choice for Sal.
Flame of the Firehawk is a great option for any Hellborne Build, especially a Hellborne+Mania build, since the nova will keep going while your shield is down, until the regen starts.
1. OP lvl 6 DP Unkempt Harold (442000 X 2 with 80.6 accuracy)
2. lvl 72 Rubi (Slag) (Since it's only there for health regain)
3. Random OP lvl 6 Launcher
4. OP lvl 6 Hard Unkempt Harold (563000 with 90.1 accuracy)
5. OP lvl 6 Rough Rider Shield
So in total, I have 1.5m in health, and damage output is enough to kill any same level boss within 30 seconds. (Raid bosses takes bit longer)
So yeah. Sal is the best Dealer and Tank in this game.
