Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2

Zobrazit statistiky:
Zero is an Eridian-Human Hybrid
Seriously.

I can't believe no one else is talking about this.

Here's my logic:
1. There are no Eridians in Borderlands 2 (The Warrior doesn't count)
2. Zero turns invisible.
3. Zero has a slashing melee attack that kicks total ass.
4. Zero has a funny-shapped head.

Conclusion: Zero is an Eridian-Human hybrid.

And that's why he's awesome.

That is all.

Go about your day.

what if the robot wants to be human or appear more human. Theres a mission where a robot wants to be human so badly he begins attaching detached limbs from bandits to himself using twine. He also wears clothes. (its the mission that gives fibber forget the bots name)

Maybe zero (if robot) likes wearing clothes.
I believe the bot's name is MAL... But haven't played recently
Official bit on Zero: The devs refer/refered to Zero as It instead of He or She. This may have been meant as a gender neutral way to refer to Zero, but regardless of what they meant, it implies that even something as simple as gender related pronouns could spoil what Zero is. Machine? Cyborg? Genderless Alien that hasn't been mentioned?

On the topic of Zero being an Eridian or made by them: Unlikely, Eridians are tall but twiggy, based on Borderlands 1 Eridian Guardians. Some primarily used slashing attacks, but their body size doesn't even come close to fitting into that Sneaking Suit. Also, their neck seems to be on front of their torso, not on top of it, and their neck seems to attach to the back of their head. Zero however has a human-like neck on top of his torso, and his neck connects to the bottom of his head, also like a human.

http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091208231908/borderlands/images/e/e7/Guardian_P01.png An example of a BL1 Guardian. The only similarity I am seeing, is the use of slashing attacks. Guardians have 5 digits(4 fingers and a thumb) per hand if you look closely, but Zero only has 4 digits(3 fingers and a thumb)

On Zero being an Eridian-Human Hybrid: He doesn't actually have much of anything in common with Eridians, if we assume Guardians are either created in the form of Eridians, or are actual Eridians in the sense that Human Soldiers are still Human. BL1, Guardians didn't cloak, they were simply agile. With a good scope, you could see Sera Guardians way off in the distance, long before they started moving or fighting with anyone.

Zer0 is one of Jacks' Dopplegangers gone awry with Slag.
I always thought he was Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome...
What if she/he/it is? And has a mighty dynamo laser.
I honestly think that zer0 is a retired hyperion assassin (I don't play on PC but I do play on console)

Thanks for your input, I Like Swords; having this thread necrod once wasn't enough.
No he defenitly isnt just listen to his 4 echos wich u find in Sawtooth Cauldron.

For my opinion he is an organic, living liquid/slime put in a sneaking suit, because if u look at the back of his suit u will see a plaster(u see it on every skin type), thats the place where they filled the liquid in. And on his left arm u can see a green strip covered with glas, so u can see into his suit. And what u see is a green liquid.
It exists also a word for this organic-living liquid, but I dont know how to say it in english.
???
You just talked about Zer0 which really doesnt explain that he's a Eridian.
Invisiblity? Hyperion guys and stalkers can do it.
Kickass melee? That doesnt make him an Eridian, still cool tho.
Funny head? I do agree but that doesnt make him a Edirian...

And you never mention about Zer0 having 4 fingers instead of 5.
Hmph.

This 'Eridian' Arguement isn't such a bad one. some of the (or one of the) Eridian weapons in the first game had a description or name that were nothing but a bunch of 0's and 1's like the binary code.

whenever Zer0 goes into deception, all of the enemy skins are turned blue and if observed closely, binary code can be seen flowing on them. This does seem like a loose connection and more likely to identify zer0 as a cyborg or robot. The MAJOR flaw with that theory is that zer0 can bleed. okay, so could a cyborg but im sure if he were a cyborg, he would have looked VERY different to how he does now.

My only issue with the whole "Eridian" theory is some of Zero's skins have round heads. I'm more thinking either an unseen alien so far (at least to us players and Angel) or cyborg.

i'm surprised the guys at Gearbox didn't make a Predator-themed unlockable head for Zer0

i've mentioned on another thread, that Zero is most likely somekind of enhanced human or super-soldier, since he turns invisible (probably because of his cybernetic suit)
