Moxxi won't give me a gun?

I tipped her a bit and she said "I think it's about time your generosity went rewarded" but she didn't do anything. Was I suppose to do a certain quest or something first? I'm fairly early on in the game.

she has to say that she is giving you her favorite gun(or her second favoite gun), then she pulls it out for you to grab, i may suggest waiting for that gun so you can have it at a higer level, you cant get the bad touch(chrossion) after you get the first time. after that it is only the good touch (fire) on any playthrough (uVHm, TVHM, normal) but you can get a good touch just as long as you keep tipping her.

If you're playing co-op, only the first person to tip her enough gets the gun. It's a known glitch in the game so best advice is to only tip in solo play.

If playing solo, then no clue why you didn't get your gun.

I was playing solo so idk why she didn't give me the gun if that's the case. :/
Oh well guess I'll just stick with the slot machine since I actually got some eridium and half-decent guns out of there. Thanks for clarifying

I find that sometimes she just bugs out, the tip jar locks and she says she'll give you her gun but she doesn't. When that happens I just save and quit and tip her again, she usually gives it out after a couple of tips. You don't really need to tip in 1000s for the guns, the 100s will do, much cheaper too.

My theory is that she might only give one per storyline level. The level of the gun depends on where you are in the storyline, from what I've heard. If this is correct, it might also be true that if you've given her tips on level X, she won't give you again until you proceed to a higher level on the story, to avoid receiving several guns of the same itemlevel. Haven't tested though, but sounds plausible to me.

Are you sure you're tipping enough? Also, you can tip in 100 and 1000 bills, you ought to use the bigger bills. At least, if I recall correctly, there were 2 types you could tip. Maybe you're using the lower one?

Well I tipped her enough to get the line "I think it's about time your generosity went rewarded". So I would assume I gave her enough for one gun at least. But I guess I tipped too quickly and that may have been the issue.

dude, "i think i need to repay you somehow" is a normal tip-line. not the "TAKE MY FAV GUN" line

i just looked at your achievements(you havent tipped moxxie 10,000 yet), you have not tipped he enough, you need to tip her of $15000 before she will give a gun

It's completely random. One of my characters got the Bad Touch on his second tip.

well its just from experiance(there is a pattern, i have seen it) and reading general experiances of there people that is the general amount, some people are lucky and get quicker i bet. typically with me she does a buch of storyies then fianally gives it to the character
