keyboard and mouse!

for me i would say kayboard and mouse as it is easy'er to aim that way to me.

Keyboard and mouse is much more precise but controller does have a greater ease of use and doesn't cause as many mistakes, in my opinion.

KB&M because I can actually aim precisely in a much faster timespan.

I only use my controller when I'm doing basic farming runs, like trying to get a Tiny Tina Class Mod from the special chests.

Honestly though, whatever you're more comfortable using is what's better.

I prefer to play on PC over console because keyboard and mouse control so much more accurately. I would NEVER play this game (possibly any game) on PC with a controller. Would be very counter-productive.

I told the same time ago but now I am used to my PC controller and I love it. For most games I prefer the controller: better movements, more challenge, relaxed position, vibration, etc.

Borderlands is one of the games I still play with mouse, I need the fast aim and the crazy freedom to perform spins and movements.

Personally, I use a controller and a trackball. I don't see why anyone would choose to use a keyboard/mouse combination when there are so many advantages using a gamepad/mouse combination.

Keyboard and Mouse all the way!

In my opinion, the only things the controller are better for are

  • Analog movement (not limited to just walk/sprint, so sneaking is easier)
  • Ergonomic comfort

In every other way, Mouse/Keyboard is superior.

Some of the superior attributes include aim accuracy and movement, additional buttons for commands/abilities, easier to navigate game menus, and being able to directly select another weapon without having to use a cumbersome wheel or scroll-through setup.

And, when I speak of "aim accuracy and movement", I'm referring to the ability for mouse users to very quickly turn 180 degrees and still be able to accurately make headshots right afterwards. None of that slow turning and aim assist stuff controller users have to deal with.

With a controller, one finger on the thumbstick does the same job that takes all five fingers on a keyboard. That and you still don't get the proportional movement or vibration from a keyboard. The lack of proportional movement makes it impossible to pull off some of the moves you can make with a controller, such as running across a ledge at 30 degrees or a proportional circle-straff. All of this and you still have your other four fingers free to press different buttons.

Personally, the only advantage I can see to a keyboard are more buttons. Yes, controllers suck at aiming which is why I can't understand why a controller/mouse combination goes over people's heads.

You guys all forgot something though! On a controller, a Controller is superior for RACING. Racing with a controller will most likely dominate versus a KB&M.

That's not true. Circle-straffing was invented using keyboard/mouse. That's been a tactic we old school gamers have used since Doom.

So, do you put "jump" as the click on the control thumbstick? That sounds terribly awkward to me.

And, what do you do about crouch?

I mean, normal movement with a keyboard takes 3 fingers. Thumb for jump. Pinky for run or crouch. You can't do all of that with 1 thumbstick.

I believe that was covered by my "Analog movement" comment above.

Although, I have seen some very good Keyboard/Mouse racers.

I used to use a Trackman from 1998-2008. Then, I accidently left it somewhere on a trip and bought a Razer Lachesis to replace it. I'll never go back to trackballs again... The optical mouse's accuracy and comfort are so much greater imo.
