Yep. You can farm Knuckledragger for the Hornet corrosive pistol.
I really recommend keeping an eye on the Marcus Weapon Machines' Deal of the Days if it's so important to you. Still rare, but a little more likely than from a drop.
And like previously stated, you could farm the bosses Knuckledragger, Midge-mong, and Doc Mercy for corrosive weapons, but in my opinion it would be better to just keep levelling and not worry about it.
Back on topic. I think that the reason they don't give any to you (at least, not commonly) is that otherwise, you could just eat through the feared Hyperion Loaders like a knife through water. The only difficult part would be the W4R-D3N, and that's because it has a shield.
All it takes is any sniper rifle to do that. Aim for the unarmored spot that connects the arms to the body or their eye for crits. As for the W4R-D3N, he usually doesnt even get to summon when I fight him. His eye is a nice big target for point blank shotgun crits.
@Diolacles:
I usually find at least 2 decent corrosive weapons before This point in the game (and have run it 5 times now), and thats with no extra farming runs. Usually one is also a sniper rifle making loaders stupidly easy to fight. You may not be looking hard enough, or you may also just be unlucky. Either is possible.
Not anything special, but he seems to have a wider loot table than other earlier bosses like Captain Flynt and is much quicker to farm. Pretty much once every two or three kills he drops an elemental weapon. But again, I wouldn't farm any of the bosses so early in the game. Just keep playing, doing side-quests, and everything you need is given to you to succeed.
