Well, it really depends if the idea of occasionally losing a massive chunk of accuracy and fire rate, but gaining '6x spread' on your shots is an 'advantage' or 'disadvantage' for you. Grog Nozzle may be overkill as far as healing is concerned though, and Rubi does 'decent' damage(whereas grog nozzle does, relatively, almost none).

i actually only use the grog nozzle when i'm running low on health to heal up

Rubi. The absurd amount of over-healing of the Grog Nozzle is not worth the handicaps of the handgun in my opinion.

thanks for the comments, damage dosent really matter because i have this made to be a rade boss build my unkempt harold is doing all the work, the other is to just keep me alive because i use the rough rider shield.

Grog Nozzle.

The Grog nozzle has this unique effect that it will sometimes make you drunk, to which you shoot like 6 times more bullets at the cost of fire rate.

For a Gunzerker that means you can have a x6 DPUH money shot, which is crazy powerful.

Also it heals you more, which means health gating is easier and has a higher slag percentage which is really the only thing you'll be using the rubi for anyways. As the rubi is not a good gun for shooting, only healing.

Grog Nozzle, simply because it returns higher percentage of health per damage than the rubi. But grog nozzle is a quest item that can't be permanently had unless you dupe it or never turn the quest in.

IDK, had a friend who was duping it and finding different variant every time she reloaded. Have you tried trading it to a another player in MP?

Well heres the thing, the only downsides to the grog nozzle is the damage dealt and in a sense the drunken, first off i will start with the drunken, the drunken is very good with money shot and ammo conservation, how ever if you are a gunzerker who does not use money shot and prefers rampage/brawn then the drunken only seems to be a down side because of the horrible accuracy, now lets go to the damage, we need to keep in mind that in UVHM slag on slag is increased on par by 50% damage, along with slag going up on a multiple of 3x instead of 2x, now with the insane amounts of damage you deal with the rubi you clock at around 2/3 the healing you do with the grog, HOWEVER if u are a gunzerker and you are shooting another powerful weapons, the unkempt harold for example you will do approximately 110-133% of the grog original heal
so in short UVHM and no money shot=rubi
TVHM and money shot grog
MAYBE UVHM and money shot= grog( if you are going against raid bosses, excluding terramorphouse, because he is very easy compared to the whole list of them

It's really the chance to slag and health vs the actual damage the Rubi does over its counterpart. The following is the best Rubi I've ever found (save file) farming vs the loot hunt for the Grog. The differences are quite stark indeed. I'll now take on Pete and see how many seconds it takes with the Rubi and Grog opposite of the DP Harold.

The best I could do with the Rubi was the exact time as the Grog. Personally much of the circumstances in taking raid bosses down is really up to luck. Basically there is no difference but for myself personally, I have to say the Grog for my money shot build is the bee's knee's but really the difference between the two is well, kind of a joke.

to dupe with out mods have the person that has the item host a game then join them have them drop the item you want duped and pick it up now leave your game will save with you having the item
while they will close/crash borderlands 2 in windows (easiest way is to have borderlands 2 running in a window and just close the window ) not by exiting so their game will not save
now you both will have the item

grog heals you more and 100% slag chance plus its great with melee heros

Grog heals you for 65% of the damage you deal, while Rubi heals you for 12%. For anyone other then Sal, this is balanced by the fact that Rubi does about 5x the damage, resulting in roughly equal damage dealt and health restored.

Grog + DPUH is the immortal combo for Sal due the way it works compared to, say, Rubi + DPUH.
