What is the best class.....

Gunzerker is by far the best class in the game. Damage potential is rediculous with chained money shots and heal regen from moxxi in the offhand.

Everyone always says that gunzerker is the best but that's complete bull$hit. All classes are equal and all of them have good builds but for gunzerker they're just easier to find(rubi, harold and grog nozzle are all very easy to obtain).

Definitely Salvador! Hes a beast! You get to regenerate health while u pull out 2 guns to spam the mobs, its badass.

For run-n-gun, you're either gonna use Sal or Axton. Sal's DPS potential is off the charts, and Axton, if built right, can lay down some decent damage.

Krieg is the best.

With Salvador, you get a midget's first person view. (No I am serious. Your view are much lower than the other characters.)

I don't find any character especially effective, my Siren kicks butt rather effectivly with her Cataclysm / Motion build. But i do find ZERO to be the weakest of them, he has the most useless "skill" out of all characters i've played. I've yet to come up with a build that makes him a viable gameplay, and he seems to be dependent on getting headshots or die bacially.

Honestly it depends on your playstyle and weapon preferences more than anything. If you haven't you should use this: http://www.borderlands2.com/us/skilltree/ to find a class that interests you and whose abilities sound fun or useful for how you play (also might be a good idea to look up unique/legendary weapons to see what matches your style). There seems to be a lot of love for Sal and Zero, and they are good at what they do, but I can't stand either class. I prefer Krieg even though hes a lot more difficult early game.

Krieg is just awesome once you get Release the Beast.

His Light the Fuse skill is pretty weak in normal and tvhm. But in UVHM, it is awesome.

Mecromancer is good fun... 400 Anarchy +Bee sheilds+ high damage shot gun/fast shooting autoaim pistol = insain DPS

Just make sure you have 5 points in the shield regen, health regen and reflective bullets so you can keep the DPS going or you will fall flat on your butt.

You will find your bot is more a decoration and decoy in the higher levels and you will have to be killing enemies with each shot to stay standing under fire (100% shield regen per kill), but if you have the right shotgun you can cut bosses in half as long as you can get close to them.

Fear the reflect shield on the builder bots tho, since you have no control over your aim and scatter shots will be reflected back on you.

i d go with zero hes cunning bloodlust skill work great together but if your interested in sniping thats good too

gun and run would have to be assassin, gunzerker or psycho and they all depend on your build
