Is it advisable to play games without laptop battery on?
I have a gaming laptop. I have the a/c power plugged in all the time when gaming even if my battery is fully charged.

Just wondering if I should game without the battery on? I have heard some people saying it will decrease the battery life if I charge it all the time.

While it can impact battery life, it generally isn't a huge deal. I have a gaming laptop as well (plugged in the majority of the time), and honestly I'm more worried about the charger starting a fire than I am about the battery capacity. That said I rarely if ever need to rely on battery, but when I do it's generally sufficient.

Edit: I wouldn't suggest removing the battery while playing, if that is what you're suggesting. They aren't made to be frequently removed, and for a majority of laptops removing the battery opens the laptop up to the risk of getting dirt/dust in the connectors.

This is correct, I think the limit is around 15 hours to have a laptop plugged in, you can either disconnect the AC every hour or so, or just remove the battery with AC plugged in.

I think the term is called 'drip-charging' or also known as 'over-charging'

Because my battery is in-built, I just remove the AC plug every hour and a bit and let the battery drain if I plan on gaming longer than 15 hours, which is very rare (try not to let it get down too low, as 'apparently' that also lowers battery life. Although I have an older laptop which I let drain and the battery capacity is still above 98% of it's original spec (which is normal).
