"Searching for Downloadable Content"
Alright, so this ♥♥♥♥ has been driving me crazy since I bought this game in December.

My DLC searching each time I launch can sometimes take upwards of ten to fifteen minutes but everyone I speak to says theirs completes near instantaneously and I can't find anyone having a similar problem online.

Is there any way to skip or at least speed this up?

idk but mine does take about a minute to get past that stage, not sure why it takes so long.

Mine use to go REALLY fast but since Tiny Tina's came out it's been taking quite a bit longer. Still under a minute though.

Have anything else that is running in the background like a virus scan or a resource intensive program?

OLD pc here (really) that barely plays the game. Clean win 7 64bit. It takes around one minute to go past checking dlc screen. Too long imo. Weird solution.

Awesome input (facepalm).

Mine took ~10 minutes the first time, but now after loading it a few times it only takes a minute or less.

30 seconds to a minute for me. I find that a bit long, but it's nothing overly terrible.

approx 30s here, and to the 'only 10s for me and my ssd': that's still way too long.

Also, having to click 'play' before you're allowed to wait for the dlc search..... that's nasty.

I have 750GB between 2 sata III SSDs and a sata III 1TB HDD... It takes nearly a minute to crawl the drive looking for them.

The DLC search is STUPID in two ways.
First, it's clearly crawling hard drives recursively looking at every file... isn't this sort of thing what the registry is for?!
Second, who the *&^%'s idea was it to do blocking disk IO on the main thread during game loading?

My PC is quite good and it takes about 8-15 seconds.

I suppose the more dlcs you get, the longer it takes (must be autodetect every time instead of remembering what you had if you hadn't got anything new)

refresh is what i usually do when its slow on my PC
