BL2 quest glitch : Hyperion Contract #873 and Demon Hunter

While having the contract quest active and trying to kill Dukino's mother there are bandits trying to kill it as well... she will kill them very easily but the problem with that is when she kills them it gives you credit for the contract... the downside is I am trying to finish as many optional quest objectives as possible... doing this is needed for a challange so this glitch should get fixed...

also just to let anyone reading this know this is just to let other players know about this before it happens to them and they have an issue with it... I have dealt with this before and is was annoying but a bug/glitch in any game should get fixed no matter how big or small of an issue it causes...

Did you remake the thread?

Pro tip for people with this mission: Until Gearbox fixes it, if ever, people should find an area with bandits (possibly lower level) and focus on getting the elemental kills specifically, so you can make sure nothing messes up the optionals. Accidentally shooting barrels can be a hindrance, for example. So just select it in your mission log, go find some bandits and do it before continuing to your other missions.

This way even if they don't fix the glitch you can still get the optional missions done without alot of hassle.

I would suggest going to Southpow steam and power... the only enemies in there are bandits and you dont have to worry about skags rakks varkids or anything else messing you kills up if they do like the mother skag did to me... but yes watch out for barrles.....

Southpaw Steam and Power would indeed be a great place. Only bandits running around. Barrels can be tedious, so be careful with nova shields, they might pop and blow up surrounding containers.
