Help! Stuck on Hunting the Firehawk!

I was doing the hunting the firehawk mission and my game had crashed right after I got the last one, 7/7 for the signs. When I booted back up it is still on 7/7, and there is no quest marker on my map to continue (I have tried zoning in and out and zoning to Three Horns Divide and walking in, neither worked), could anyone host a game with this mission and help me get it done?

The markers are just to guide you to the chamber, you can just run there again and the story should continue as normal. They don't do anything else, you don't even need to hit all 7 of them. Or are you saying you've gotten lost and can not find your way there?

I actually ran to where lillith would be and she is not there. And there is no longer any quest marker in the frostburn canyon map. The quest just says follow the signs [7/7].

Do you remember exactly what happened at the moment your game crashed? Did it freeze or "stutter" first, had the cutscene played yet or was the cutscene playing, was Angel talking on the radio? Any detail at all you can remember.

It froze and then immediately went to a black screen and it said BL2 had stopped responding so I clicked close. The cutscene had not played yet. Other than that, not much else I can remember that would help figure this out. Just seems like my mechromancer is going to be glitch stuck for now.

Freeze to black screen, so you might have a missing event trigger (a kind of script). Try verifying your game cache and see if it downloads a very small file.

have you tried verifying your cache? i had a bug in the dust where i couldn't turn in the quest,but after i verified i could turn it in. if that doesn't help maybe try doing another quest if you have any available? have no idea if it helps. just brainstorming a bit

I just verified my cache and it said one file was missing. It downloaded 12.4mb but that did still not fix the problem. I might just try to make a new character, just don't want it to happen again.

That 12meg file is just your .exe being re-encrypted by Steam. I don't know dude, 'd hate for you to lose your character, but I don't know what could be wrong.

If you're planning to ditch it and start over, there is one other longshot you can try first: Go to your save folder and there should be a group of files that look like this:

profile.bin this is your stats and golden keys and stuff. Always back it up but otherwise don't touch it.
save####.sav these are your save files, there's one for each character numbered in the order you created them
save####.sav.bak this is an automatic backup of your game save. The number matches the character save it is for.

- Cut your character save out of the folder and paste it on your desktop or somewhere else safe.
- In the save folder Right-click on the save####.sav.bak file and select Rename
- Simply remove the .bak part of the name
- Now restart the game and try the mission again.

The ♥♥♥♥ part of this is that the backup is never 100% up-to-date, so you are definately going to lose some progress when you do this. But it will be better than ditching your hard work and starting from scratch.

Stone All you need to do is finish another mission while your current mission is ignored, then leave the area (As in go to Sanctuary or something. Then save, load a new character, and then load it back to your main character. Un-ignore your Firehawk mission, then it should start working. I hope this helps!
