How do I reach Terramorphous ?

Long time ago, I was given the sidequest to kill Terra. Well, I was levelled 31 so I had to leave my quest unfinished.
Yesterday I thought I'd inroduce this charmer to a couple of friends of mine.
We just went to Thousand Cuts, but when I entered this alter where I was supposed to drop iridium, there was no option to drop it.
Shop was closed.....
I recon I have to enable the sidequest, but I just can't find it???
I owe this slime worm some serious spank from last time, so what am I missing out here guy's?

Well, I am TVHM now, but not the first time I was given the Terra quest.
Now I don't remember how to get it back.

If you havent gotten it in TVHM yet you need to after beating the main story and all. You can go kill him in normal though he still spawns at level 52

Well, I'm in tvhm, beaten the warrior twice, but don't understand how to get access to Terra.

If you haven't completed the game in TVHM yet, then you need to go into first playthrough mode and you will be able to get to him.

AHA, that's why lol.
I'm in tvhm, but I haven't finished all in this mode yet. Been strafing arond, picking on some side missions.
So, to meet Terra I just need to change game mode to normal, then he will be available.

Wait, so you have to enter Normal Mode and then return to TVHM? Becuase the loot in TVHM is better to my understanding.

I think I got it.
When you finish the game in normal mode, you will be able to face terra, but to meet him in tvhm, you must also finish the game in tvhm.
If you are in tvhm, you must switch to normal to meet him.
You cannot meet him in tvhm before you have completed the game in tvhm.
How this affects the loot, I don't know.

But I finished the game on both Normal and TVHM, and I got the mission from Tannis on TVHM, got there, tried a few times (and failed miserabely), and now I can't find the mission again and Tannis doesn't have it anymore. Haven't tried going there yet but still, where's the mission D: ?

if you went to fight terra and he beat you and you never killed him then the quest should still be in your quest tab. how to get there: 1000 cuts. go stright till you hit the clif, turn right and youll see some stairs. just go down and you should find the eridum payment place.

Yeah, I know where he's at, problem is I don't get the option to open the port and enter his playground.
I cannot find the mission with Tannis either.
The only thing I haven't done is to face Tannis, and accept all her missions for the Terra mission to appear.
When I was in normal mode, I did NOT finish him off before I switched to tvhm.
Other missions was still pending it seemed.

Exactly!
I don't believe loot is affected for him since it is a lvl 50 quest on either mode...
