How do you dupe items?
I'm probably the last person here who doesn't know, but how do you dupe stuff?

As for why I'm duping... I just want to copy a few legendaries I only have one of so I can distribute them across my characters.

Hi... The easiest way is to go ingame. Put your weapon/item in the locker you use to share between caracters. Then you push ALT+TAB to go out to your desktop, then just shut the game down from there. That way you quit the game wihout saving and you will still have the weapon in your inventory going in next time and the copy in the locker.

Good luck... Hope you understand my explanation

Hate to say it, but this didn't work. I still have the one Infinity I wanted to dupe in my inventory.

Got any other methods I could use?

Join a friends game. Drop your gear. Hit "ALT" and "F4" this will crash your game. Re-start and re-join your friends game. Pick up the gear you dropped. you now have two.

Any methods I could do solo? I don't wanna annoy people just so I can dupe stuff.

Just ask someone to dupe "to you" what ever you want / need. There are many here who will gladly get you what you are looking for.

Well... guess that's you've got, I guess? I just wanna dupe the stuff I have, for my own characters, by myself.

I do not know of anyway you can. If you make a list, I can give you almost anything at any level. I have 21 characters carrying gear at every level. Will be on tomorrow afternoon EST.

You could always use Gibbed's save editor[blog.gib.me].

Nah, It took me about an hour (with a friend's help) just to figure out where my saves were stored to begin with. So I don't have the technical know-how.

Thanks for helping, though

That save editor can make any item in the game to your specs. What scopes you want, where it is burst-fire Dahl Receiver sniper or an accurate Jakobs to a high-damage Jakobs. Shields, class mods, name it you can make it once you get some practice making items.

No, really, I just want to dupe some stuff I already have so I can distrubute them to other characters, not make my own items from scratch!

Still though, that thing you have is kinda impressive regardless.

Oh no, not mine. The guy who runs that blog made it. I just hate seeing how people want certain items and go around grinding, wasting lots of time and in reality wasting their lives getting a virtual item they could make in 3 minutes or less with that editor. I heard of people grinding for days because a certain boss has a 2% drop rate on certain items.

But back to duping, take that save editor. You can copy your charcter as-is, or even select an item and hit a button to duplicate that item and place it in your pack. 5 clicks, 5 identical items. You can also scale their level to each player.
