Master Gee the Invincible question-not about tactics, about survival!

I have a level 50 assassin.My build is mostly based on Cunning Skill Tree and a bit Sniper. I have been trying to kill Master Gee solo but couldn't manage it so far. The part I'm having problem is to survive the acid balls worms throw at me. I understand that the acid pool that appears when you kill a worm is no way resistable at all, but how about acidballs? If I get corrosive immune or elemental resist shield will I be more resistant to worms' attacks? If so which shield you recommend? If only I could resist the acidballs, the fight will be a lot easier. Thanks to everyone who shares an opinion.

gee has died by gun fire or grenade each time i have had the issue. i use the rock only when i need time for a shield recharge. i am not one of the players who ride the rock and let the worm funk kill gee
i should also mention i have the badass challenge completed at this point, but i was just curious why every time i go tnear that stupid rock even for a second when i finally kill him i get stuck in the room

Gee's arena is a bit buggy, so It could as well be a bug if you're 101% sure that you deliver the final blow. If you watch my video, you'll see that Gee's harpoon projectiles travel twice as fast. Sometimes it happens, I've seen this in the past. Maybe when you go and stay even for a while behind the rock, BL2 doesn't like it and punishes you.

well in all honesty i had only seen it happen once before the last two hotfixes, since the two hotfixes it seems to happen every time i go near that rock. and yes i am 110% sure i delivered the final blow since he is usually about 1/4 - 1/2 life left when i need to get slight shield recharge

Yes, when I hide behind the rock gate remains closed, but I wanna ask you something else. I got better at avoiding tomahawk and acid balls but there is something else I wanna ask(some kind of glitch I suppose) When I use deception, sometimes I can't touch the worm and I dont get damage from the acid balls as long as I stand infront of it. Master Gee stands by and does nothing until the worm dies. If I could get this glitch to happen, it's easy to fight outside. But sometimes I become able to touch the worm then I die in a heartbeat(Suprise muthafuka mode on). I farmed him lots of times yesterday and saved enough crystals to buy an evolution shield. I hope it helps with life regen. @hawkpilot thanks a lot for offering help and I would love have another friend who plays BL2 just know that my connection sucks REALLY BAD and I have huge lag. I played the game almost 190 hours, and most of it was by myself. I would like to play with anyone who loves this game as much as do.

Yes, I've see that weird behavior of the worms. But it's not guranteed that every time you cloak, worms won't harm you. The Evolution shield offers strong elemental resistance BUT in exchange of low dps which, I think, is more critical if you expect to survive and win the fight. After many battles with him, I feel that the best thing to do is to kill worms as soon as they appear, leaving none alive and using decepti0n to force Gee stay on top of the acid pools. The quicker you do this, the easier you'll beat him.
Another tactic I use when I or my team fail to make Gee get the acid debuff quickly is to walk on the acid pool and stay there for a couple of seconds. With good timing, I absorb part of the pool, shrinking it as much as possible, so it will not expand and poison us.

My connection sucks too so I avoid hosting games, but I've sent you an invite so that we play together when an opportunity arises :)

the alkaline impaler also works nicely for limited time against him, not sure why it seems most of the other shields with corrosive immunity do not work at all

Good point about the Alkaline Impaler; indeed it seems that it has the strongest resistance to acid balls, way stronger than the Evolution; and it has good capacity too. Still, it suffers from the missing amp damage the Bee is offering. When I beat him for the first time, I used the Alkaline Impaler and took me almost 20 mins :D... twice the time it usually takes me now.
