"Steam must be running in order to launch Borderlands 2". What's this?

Hi! Maybe somebody can help me? After i update my Borderlands 2 with Mac and PC comllancy patch, i have such message when try to launch game: "Steam must be running in order to launch Borderlands 2. Please restart Borderlands 2 after starting Steam client". I try to instal Steam and game again, but it's useless. I don't know what to do... well... any suggestions? (also - sorry for my bad english)

Try forcing steam to shut of in your task manager under processes, or maybe just loggin off from steam (not exit but actually log off)

i tried both variant, but it doesn't help :/ also, i'm playing on Mac, so maybe there is some patch trabbles, because before there was no probs with launch :/

This happens occasionally with Steam. If restarting the client didn't work, try restarting the computer.

Restart the computer, start Steam and launch Borderlands 2 from the client.

well, even restar did't help, but i delete ALL ALL files of steam and game, even stem instal file, donwloaded it again... and deal with prob)
anyway, thanks for advice ^_^
