Big Game Hunt - wtf?
Playing through DLC after beating BL2 v1.0...beat Badassitude, beat Scarlett's Booty, moved on to Big Game Hunt, and I am completely overmatched. I'm at lvl 37 and can't even get past protecting Hammerlock while he makes repairs (like WAY early). I'm getting 2 and 3-shotted blowing through money on respawns, and cannot even hit the Witch Doctors? They come at me as swarms of bats but invisible otherwise. As in, I can't even hit them because I never am presented with a target? Is this a glitch? Is it possible to uninstall and then reinstall a Steam DLC? I was wondering if I was overlevelled at the end of Scarlett because the difficulty was just not there, but now it takes me tons of running and ammo just to pick off the weaker savages BEFORE I can even get to the Witch Doctors. Ideas? I've never been this frustrated in BL1 or BL2.

well only thing that comes to mind is that you either need better gear or you just plain suck

I wouldn't t bother with Hammerlock in normal mode, I'd just go through TVHM now, leaving the side missions until you beat warrior - do them and DLC3 afterwards.

Regardless of class you'll have a gear selection capable of completing the storyline, if you're lucky you'd be able to beat the invincibles.

If you're really struggling there's always a last resort gun, the Unkempt Harold that you can buy from Torgue machines around crater. It's going to make witch doctors a joke.

I'm sure there's a lot of people that would not agree with me, but I too find these enemies broken as hell. They are not chellenging, they are cheap and frustrating unless your gear is decent or better.

Thanks for the tip. I waltzed through the first 2 DLC's. I'm guessing my gear isn't as l33+ as yours.

Big game hunt was made to be played after finishing everything else. So the enemies are pretty difficult. Devs were trying to keep it challenging. I guess people were complaining about waltzing through the first three dlc's.

When fighting savages, always focus on :
- the Witch Doctors : they have powerful attacks (but easy to avoid) and most importantly they can level up the other savages. Always better to avoid a fight against a bunch of 64-65 mobs. Good thing with the Doctors is that they have low health. Move quickly, come at close range, with a good shotgun or pistol, they're down in seconds.
- the Hunters (ranged attackers) : Their spears can quickly deplete your shield and they have a paralyzing effect.

The Warriors (even badasses) are not so tough. Try to flank them (like you would do with spiderants) so that you avoid shooting them through their shield.

Also think of cleaning the sky of spores before fighting savages (or kill them above the savages). Spores are like Rakks or Surveyors, they know how to complicate things. :-)

Always take out all the wicth doctors first. I had problems with that mission (in UHVM), too. But after realizing, that slagging and then killing them with a rocket launcher works great, it was kinda easy.
