several people thought that. (see above) Basically what the devs want is to make a pile of money. (reasonable btw, it's how they eat) This is a piss poor way to do it though.
Myself, I have resorted to abandoning the new patch entirely, with the result that I will never be able to buy another expansion.
please tell me more about this gibbed of which you speak. It may be a way out for me.
FPS multiplayer looter. Not many games fit all three, but many fit any two. Most of the big ones, actually.
Got $20 that says i got shoes older than you. My first PC ran at 4.0 mhz, and it was not my first computer.
Just a note of support, that gearbox forum has a poll on it. Those that hate the patch outnumber those that like it by more than 2 to one. Ther's a small fraction alright, but he's the one in it.
Really wish i kept the thing, trash80 model ones are worth a ton of cash now.
ah, the autistic must fix argument. I actually had to post a logic tree to explain that one to the more severely challenged int the other forum, but it;s quite long. Feel free to look it up there. The example argument is shorter though.
I refer you to a game called "grand theft auto" You might have heard of it. It was a glitch that turned it from just another meh driving game into one of the top selling games of all time. Specifically the users refusing to patch the game, because it was a better game with the glitch than without. The devs there had the native intelligence to leave the glitch in the game, and exploit it in later ones, making a wildly sucessful franchise, and founding their own genre called sandbox games.
I personally believe that the "glitch fixing" wasn't a bad thing to do - after all it was a glitch. BUT instead Gearbox should provide slightly more storage space. Not just remove the "feature" altogether, especially considering - as you yourself stated too - they promised much more (I've even found an "infinite storage space" claim on their forums, but never a link to actual source with the quote).
just kidding, who gives a crap.
They did it twice on video. There are links in the gearbox forum. going to check out gibbed now, thanks!
It's pretty much about exactly what you said. And I can't really disagree. :-)
Certainly. I am a very poor writer. I compensate for this by rereading and rewriting often one or more times. This forum lacks a preview or advanced option, so I am forced to do it the annoying way.
Does this mean I'm just stupid? Sure, if you want. You can gauge the time stamp difference to tell how long i took to reprase though.
I did repost before there were any replies, so I doubt there was a ninja problem. (carefully reads twice first this time)
EDIT: damn. did it anyway, there's always one more thing. I was trying to hurry because I had to repost twice I think and left alot otypos in it. Sorry. Typos are the least of my worries, At least it makes sense
the world is a bit more complicated than it was five years ago. Nothing is just one thing anymore. If you wanted to call it "just" an rpg, you'd have to incluede stuff like the spiderweb software series. Borderlands started as kind of a rip of fallout 3. Adding multiplayer, and a more 4 color attitude changed the equation a bit, and kind of made it it's own thing. Theres an mmropg too out there as well, which is also fallout like.
No game is exactly like another, unless youre talking tetris clones, and they all got sued. Every game likes to think it;s it;s own genre, but at the end of the day, people who shop for a game compare this one to mass effect, skyrim, fallout, bioshock, and a pile of others. scifi fps rpgs.
Borderlands with the glitch has it's own look and feel, but without it, whe whole infinite gun thing is mostly just annoying. It becomes just a bad fallout.
