Can't find Hammerlock or Claptrap

Hi - not sure what's going on.
I'm level 9, done the Flynt thing (Boomers too of course), done southern shelf, and meanwhile I've landed in front of the gates to Sanctuary where Roland gives you the quest to go find Corporal Reiss. Now I KNOW where to find him, because I've done it before on another character. But he's not there. I also can't find Claptrap any more (not that I need him), or Sir Hammerlock (whom I need in order to hand in the 'Bad Hair Day' quest).
So I'm like wandering around wondering what to do now... Does anyone have any ideas?

Until you enter Sanctuary, Claptrap should be on his ship in in Three Horns (the one you liberated from Flynt). As for Hammerlock, if he's not back at Liar's Berg, he might be in Sanctuary already (a possible bug).

Have you tried selecting the Bad Hair Day quest as active and see where the target pointer takes you?

yeah I have tried setting the bad hair day as active - the target pointer shows the gateway to the southern shelf. Only, when you go to the southern shelf, it still shows the gateway as the target.... AND I know I have all the fur, because I can't get anymore. And I can't get into Sanc until I find Corp. Reiss - who isn't there... Lots of other bodies though - just not him. As I found him on my other char, he was being beaten up by a group of baddies, whom I dispatched and then found him lying on the ground where he died after talking to me...
So not sure what else to do...

Looks like the game done screwed up on your char. I guess your only option will be to find someone who will go through those quests with you joined in his game.

Exit the game and restart. Go to the place where Reiss is beaten up. The quest should complete. If not, join a online game with someone on the same quest and complete it from there.

Did you pick up the recorded message telling you where to find Reiss? If you haven't that might be the reason he's not showing up, if you have then I haven't a clue.

Lot's of other bodies ? Don't remember seeing any other bodies around except for corporal Reiss. Annoying question, I know, but are you sure you are in the right spot ? Also what the guy above me said. Maybe you jumped the gun and didn'tpick up the recorder first.

Go to the gates of Sanctuary, accept the mission to find Reiss, jump in a car and take the road to the left. Before you leave the road to head into the Marrow's there will be a recorder in the road (you usually get attacked by a few bullymongs as well). Then go and find Reiss.

Me and a friend are having a problem like this. Me and my friend just did the mission "Statuesque" and we can't find him. The current story we're on is "The Talon of God". We're both level 33. We've looked at Sanctuary, but he's not there. We've looked at the set of stairs he encouters after hacking the Hyperion door. Does anyone know where he could be?

I seem to recall that you turn Statuesque in at the Opportunity bounty board, but it's been a while. If you do have to turn it in to Claptrap, he probably won't be back in Sanctuary until you've completed Talon of God. Check the mission log. If you have to turn it in to Claptrap, it will probably say "blocked", because he is currently unavailable.

i found him in moxxxis tho u probably did not check there but eh this discussion is from waaaay long ago so you probably got past that already but i hope this might help other people who plan to get this game during winter sale tho

The original thread was started in 2013, the latest comment was 2015. I sincerely doubt these people care anymore or already found a solution. Don't pointlessly necro old posts.
