I'm having no problem farming Pete with easily obtained items (I am also Zer0). Get a Bee, any decent slag weapon, and do the quest to get a sand hawk. If you really wanna blow him away, keep reloading the quest reward until it gives you a shock version. He's dropping legendaries about 1 in 3 runs for me, sometimes more than 1 per kill.

?Really? Pete? what's your strategy? I tried him with some friends and he kicked out butts alot (I'm even using Bee with a Sandhawk ROFL).

With pete theres a cheese way where you can grenade jump up to where petes nova doesnt do constant damage and you only take damage from the initial impact. If he jumps up if you position yourself correctly he wont jump down and you can take your time killing him because he cant hurt you.

I'm not glitching or cheating in any way. There is a set of scaffold that you can walk completely around (behind it, between it and the wall). When he's about to Nova, I position myself near that so I can avoid it 100% of the time. The biggest challenge to him is getting the timing down. After his shields are down, I kite him half way around the arena, and then run across the arena and back to that same scaffold. By the time he gets to you again, he nova's. Rinse, repeat.

While his shields are up, he will throw the globs of fire and ooze 3 times, the 3rd time right before he nova's. After shields are down, it goes down to 2. This makes it easy to keep up with. Good luck!

You have a screenshot of your position, I'd appreciate it!

So I was able to do the jump trick, however, how do I avoid his novas?

Pete is the easiest one, Hyperius the fastest.

What is the best Prefix singularity for Hyperion? I'm guessing Lobbed? I've a 0.0 Longbow someone gave me, but it seems more difficult than in the video.

Lobbed or Longbow works well, it depends on the player then.

I miss with longbow more than lobbed. I guess i find it hard to aim at the ground and usually find my self jumping in the air before throwing them to compensate. I still miis more often with them longbows though.
Yes 0.0 fuse time is the way to go.
You will get the hang of it eventually but it will take alot of practice. Honostly all the invincibles take alot of training to beat solo. This technique is easier to master than most.
