Mcnally start

I'm playing through the game again and I am trying to participate in the community challenges. Problem is I can't find the start to the mission to kill Mcnally. I remember its a body outside moxxi's but its not there. Do I have to be up to a certain mission before it appears? I'm currently blowing up the train.

I think , but may be corrected, that you can't pick up the ECHO until after completing The Once and Future Slab.

You may be right, because i know that a lot of side-missions are only accessable once you've passed specific sections of the main story line.

you can only pick up the ECHO once you have sancturary in the sky

I have the sanctuary in the sky and the body is there but no quest marker on it.

On my TVHM playthru, I had just completed once and future slab and the bane quest was available. Not sure if thats required tho. Wiki doesnt say anything about when you can get the mission.
