why salvador is and isnt the best character in the game

you can arguably say that salvador is the best character in the game because...
1. he has 2 weapons wich basically self explanatory
2.if you look a gunlust(or whatever the tree is called) almost everything there is about damage, with my build you coulf probably get a 150% damage boost (plus monk and money shot 880%).
2. while dual wielding with a grog nosile, the other weapon that is in your hand also heals you so you dont even need brawn to be almost invincible.
3.in rampage tree there is a skill that lets you regain gunzerking while you are gunzerking, (can be good while combined with keep it piping hot) with yipi kai yay and you can get gunzerking back before you are done gunzerking(seems legit)
4.easy for doing raid bosses

why gunzerker isnt the best character (with stereotypical dp harold and grog + other stuff build)
1. really hard to revive enemies because when you arent shooting you arent getting any health back so you die fast.
2. dp harolds slow bullet speed can delay health return.
3.shooting 2 guns can blind you quite easily when combined with lag, so if you cant see the enemy its hard to shoot them (not to mention no health steal)
4.not the greatest for customizing builds, basically all rampage and all gunlust with a few personal preferances.

He is too simple IMO. The real fun is at the trees take have more difficulty in them, like Anarchy or Kreig in general.

All the characters have their pros and cons. Nevertheless, I think their all great overall. Is all about how you use them. I like them all, but my main will always be siren though. <3

I think Salvador is the best character in many ways. The main being that is he is utterly different than the rest of the cast. Plus you can do really whacky things with him. Like Dual Wield two Sniper Rifles and or Rocket Launchers.

unless something changed lately, he can still shoot with one of the guns while reviving. That's not something others can do, so their life on pandora is just that much harder

Zerk can shoot one gun instead of two, others can't shoot two instead of one.

Definitely more viable builds available then other characters, all three trees are good an d each has an awesome skill in it. Brawn ? Incite, Asbestos, Bus That Can't Spot, Out Of Bubblegum (!). He can be played in a lot of varied ways. That's not something that can be said about othersa.

Agreed. I play him all the time :D That is untill the Psycho character DLC came out now I play both.

I agree as far as the default characters, but I find him boring to play. I prefer Maya and Axton, Zero I don't like either.

All the negatives I see in OP's lists are not even negatives to the character. They are all gun or preference related. Gunzerker is close to perfection, there's hardly a single skill in his tree that is bad. You DO NOT need to have Gunlust and Rampage specced. When I was a noob to the game, I didn't even use Gunlust, I specced Rampage and Brawn and Brawn is a very effective tree for survival in UHVM without Moxxi weapons. The only thing that sucks with Salvadore is using Dahl weapons during gunzerking, because you lose burst effects entirely.
