Handsome Collection gone?

Was looking to purchase the handsome collection for a friend when I couldn't find it and the sale ends later today :(

Ahh... regardless of whether it's available in the store (I'm not seeing it either) ... you can't buy it for anyone else.

It's a dynamic bundle for which the pricing is adjusted based on what any specific individual already owns. Anyone who wants it has to buy it for themselves. You should be able to buy and gift the GOTY version though: https://store.steampowered.com/sub/32848/

The pandorasBox really does its name justice with how bad it is. current price ~140$..... when previously you'd buy the handsome-collection + ultimate-edition for ~60$

Well... ignoring that bit of content would be fine, but ... the prices would seem to all be linked. So financially, you can't ignore it.

The price to me (at the moment) is $66 USD, that's for all the BL3 content and the New Tales content. Way more than I'm willing to pay for any of that. I own (and have played) the old Tales game (a bit), but it's not a game format I enjoy much. Maybe (maybe) if/when the BL3 content gets down to $15USD I'll consider it, but even if I end up buying the package at some point in the future, I'm still not going to play the Tales games.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to eliminate the Handsome Collection (if that's really a permanent change), but ... that's 2K's call to make.

For the unaware it is still better to wait and buy the Pandora collection on sale, you can still buy the Handsome collection from legit key re-sellers however the handsome collection does not inclute the final BL2 DLC Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary which is basically a must.

Yeah, but the Handsome Collection and the Pandora's Box Collection (at least at Steam) are both bundles. Both are dynamic.

So, buying the Handsome Collection if/when available (at Steam) isn't going to negatively impact a later purchase of the Pandora's Box Collection (at Steam) because you're just increasing the amount you'll get discounted.


(The Pandora's Box collection was on sale in early November for a fairly steep discount, and I managed to pick it up for $23 USD. I already owned the Handsome Collection, Commander Lilith, and the first Tales game).

The Handsome Collection (if available AND if on sale) is still an excellent value with tons of content and two complete (or almost complete) games. And it frequently runs $15 USD when on sale.

i wouldn't be surprised if buying the handsome-collection first and then upgrading to the pandora-bundle on sale would still be cheaper than just going pandora.
