quest : won't get fooled again

I don't get it.
i chose the wrong guy and the quest completed and i got the reward and whatnot.

here's the thing, i don't understand the logic

there's 4 guys identical twins
one of them is guilty of murder.
i had to talk to 3 people and get clues.
the only clues i had was moxxi shot him and he had a shield.
then he went to dr. zed and payed him a lot of money.

the only clues were that the murderer had a shield and lots of money.
there's no way to tell how much money any of them had.
and only 2 of them had shields but in the end, the true guy was neither of those 2.
wtf?

yeah...the thing that got me was the shield clue. one guy had a shield in an obvious place on his chest.
another guy was wearing a shield and it was obscured under his hands tied behind his back and that was the one i picked.
i could have sworn that the guy that actually did it, i didn't see him wearing a shield anywhere on his body but i never thought to look at the health bars.
it should be simple. "moxxi said he had a shield" but the guy that did it, didn't have a shield on him unless it was hidden and i was supposed to see a blue shield energy bar on him whic i didn't look at.
i guess thats why the LAPD hasn't hired me

What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest. I just did this one, got it wrong, and now I find out that's because of a graphical glitch that prevented me from seeing all the info I needed to know to make the correct decision.

It's rather simple with those clues, one guy doesn't have full health, one guy doesn't have a shield, there are two with full health + shields, one has a rocket launcher and another a sniper rifle.

funny you didn't quote me on my whole comment. You said one of them doesn't have full health?
I think the quest glitched on me then casue I swear I saw all four of them with full health.
I read all the comments above and I understood the clues too but still...

Enis = full shield, full health and launcher

Barlo = full shield, full health and sniper rifle

Mark = full shield, half health and pistol

Shin = no shield, full health and pistol

i didn't think to look at their health bars, i was looking at what they were equipped with and the guy that did it, i didn't see a shield on his body, that's what confused me...although i didn't really understand all the clues in the first place.
i know who it was now and i see the logic in the deduction but the fact that the culprit does not show graphically as wearing a shield just throws people off

I never saw a shield on that npc and I've completed the game a dozen times or more o.O Just went with the rifle. Lol go me for noticing small details haha! /sarc xD

To clarify, as soon as I clicked on someone, a guy further down the line started saying it was him. Apparently you have a few precious seconds before the quest ends to click on someone else...which is what I did.

I did the opposite. lol
I got the right one, but took my few extra seconds to click on one of his brothers. I wanted to see if I could get all of 'em in trouble. xD

i only needed one clue for this quest. once he sed the perp only fired 1 shot i knew it was the sniper. also when you get to the "who stole the money" truxican stand off, they will ask you to shoot the guy who stole the money. its the guy with the big box of money on his back.
