quest : won't get fooled again

I don't get it.
i chose the wrong guy and the quest completed and i got the reward and whatnot.

here's the thing, i don't understand the logic

there's 4 guys identical twins
one of them is guilty of murder.
i had to talk to 3 people and get clues.
the only clues i had was moxxi shot him and he had a shield.
then he went to dr. zed and payed him a lot of money.

the only clues were that the murderer had a shield and lots of money.
there's no way to tell how much money any of them had.
and only 2 of them had shields but in the end, the true guy was neither of those 2.
wtf?

zed tells you he now has full health
the sherf tels you that a bulet has been shot
therefore it can not be a rocketlauncher

and so you can eliminate 3 from being to criminal

but the guy that did it, didn't have a shield. only 2 of them had shields. unless i just failed to see it?

Moxi killed his shield with rubi!!!!!

The kill was made with a bullet, that eliminates the rocket launcher wielding guy.
Zed healed up the culprit after Moxxi shot him, so he'll have full health.
The most subtle clue as to which one it is, is Moxxi's - she shot the guy and broke his shield, therefore, he won't have one. It's broken, hence the need for him to visit Zed and heal up.

Actually, that's not it, it's just a defect in the display. You have to back up and view the suspects, when you have visibility to their health bars, and not just look at what is graphically on their person, you can figure it out, as the shield doesn't show up.

Clues:
- Moxi said he had shield
- Zed healed him up
- Sherriff said he shot a bullet

Deduction:
- The bullet item rules out the rocket launcher guy.
- If you back up, so that instead of getting the "accuse" text, you can see their health bars, you will see that the correct guy has a shield (blue bar above their red health bar - you cannot actually see the shield on his person, but the blue bar lets you know he has one) and full health (Zed healed him up, so he will have full health).

If you pick the guy with a weapon that shoots bullets (not rockets), that has full health, and a shield (not visibly on his body though, the blue shield bar), then you will get it right.

I've not seen a shield on the offending one before, but they do show up on the character model. Usually around the waist, or sometimes higher up on the back/chest ;)

There is a simpler way to get the right one, but it involves a spoiler (sort of). It's always the same one - the one with the sniper rifle.

Lol quick trick to this. I got the quest you know, and decided to click on a random guy.. I did that, and another guy started yelling "Ha IT WAS ME" So i ran down and clicked him, and thus the quest was complete, and i got the reward. Simple enough.

only two of them had shields but one had a sniper rifle and the other had a rocket launcher, the one with the sniper rilfe did it cos it was a bullet wound. if it was the guy with the rocket launcher the body would be in pieces.

How that sniper guy got caught is another mystery. You would think he would have been hidden somewhere before he took the shot. What he ran up to him and shot him with a sniper rifle? Ahaha whatever.

It's rather simple with those clues, one guy doesn't have full health, one guy doesn't have a shield, there are two with full health + shields, one has a rocket launcher and another a sniper rifle.
