help with level scaling in TVHM

So i skipped the DLC's in the first playthrough since (like BL1) your either overleveled for them, or they rocket you up to a level that the rest of the main story is trivial and continued on to TVHM so i could play the DLC's with a degree of challenge.

I just finished the main quest in tiny tina's assault on dragon keep, headed back to town aaaaaaaaand all the quests are locked about 8 levels below me.

wtf?

I thought quests were supposed to stay at your level (or higher) in TVHM up to the point you take them, THEN they are locked at that level. Its a bit annoying to say the least since now all the quests are a waste of time since even if they gave legendary equips, my white/green current level stuff is superior.

Does the 'real' BL experience begin after i beat the game a second time?

when you beat warrior in tvhm at lvl50 all quests you accept after that will be lvl50, you will unlock uvhm so make sure you select tvhm when you restart if you want to keep enemies at lvl50

Warrior is the trigger.

Basically in Pt 2 you skip everything except the main story and beat Warrior. Then go do all the side quests.

Do you happen to be lvl 58 upon completion of tiny tina DLC on TVHM?
TVHM side quests do scale but they cap at lvl 50.
If you seek quest gears of level greater than 50, you can obtain them in UVHM.

I'm lvl 42 and the "undiscovered" quests range from 34 to 37. I figure i'll do the xp/gold only ones now (since they're AWESOME) but leave the purple gun ones till UVHM then.

so to be sure, if i go beat the warrior a second time, all those undiscovered quests will automatically match my level again? or will they stay at 34-37. or will they go beyond 50 since i got both level upgrades to 72.

TVHM scales with your level (up to lvl 50), once you finish the story. to go beyond 50 you need to play on UVHM.

thats not quite right you can keep playing tvhm but all quest rewards wil stay at lvl50 even though you will keep lvling up, to get gear lvl51 and up you must play uvhm

you know what i give up on this wonky scaling thing. Is there a mod of some sort that will actually fix it so that it scales properly with your level regardless of which playthrough? it seems pointless having to play through the main quest (which i've already done) a second time just so i can finally do side quests.

It seems like it would simply be better to start a new char and skip the main quest instead.

TVHM *doesnt* scale with your level. its a higher level than the first play through but im still getting quest after quest in the main line thats trivial compared to my level which is the exact same issue i had on the first playthrough.

Asmosis, you have to finish the story (kill Warrior) on TVHM, if you want the game to scale up to your level. that's just how it works. and you can't just skip the main quest on Normal with your other char, you'll have to finish it too, because difficulty levels are tied to characters. there's no way (other than the save editing) to start a new game with a new char on TVHM or UVHM, you'll always start on Normal.

yeah its just annoying having to play through the main game twice before doing any side stuff when i wanted to do it during the first playthough.

do the quests reset again for UVHM? or is it like BL1 where they dont when you beat the game a 2nd time.
