Sky Rockets in Flight: Modifying the Number of Long Distance Launcher Kills
I've heard it said that Crouching Tiger Hidden Assault Rifle is the most frustrating challenge. I disagree. At least you're making positive progress with every badie. For me, Sky Rockets in Flight is the most challenging challenge, not because it's hard but because it takes so damned long. I've already done both, but then I got a Prestige award and I started back at 0 for everything.

I'm willing to cheat to complete this challenge again. I've tried Gibbed Trainer 197. I found this particular challenge under the Raw Data section. I'm current at 140 and modified it to 399 so that the next long range launcher kill I get will get me a badass point. Made sure to save. Reran the game aaaaaaand..... I'm still at 140.

Anyone know how to modify the challenges so I can fast track some of them (I wouldn't mind fast tracking Crouching Tiger Hidden Assault Rifle, either.)

Thanks!

elifiknow, I never gave that a thought, and....no not going to now.

Extremely high signal to noise ratio. Thanks for the stellar quality reply.

Was more than what was deserved at that. Duping a weapon and things like that are one thing, what you propose is a lie, look at what I accomplished, when you did not. Achievements should be achieved, they are bragging rights, if people do what you propose that all becomes worthless. It was frequency modulated so relatively noise free transmission is expected.

"Duping a weapon and things like that [isn't cheating]"

Are you kdding me?

You can really read that and not laugh at yourself? That is *serious* cheating, plain and simple. That affects game play, and the reason why I don't play multiplayer on the internet. That is the very *definition* of a lowly cheater.

So do you play multiplayer with your cheated / modded / duplicated weapons?

I have no issue with duping, it creates a copy of an item that the game naturally made. However, you think I should laugh at myself while you wish to lie about making achievements that in fact you have not, hake/edit files the game stores data in, and you have the gall to call someone a cheater?

FYI mr high and mighty, duping does NOT affect game play, that was MODING/HACKING and that has pretty much been squashed. If you see someone with a weapon, can you really tell me you think you know the difference in a dropped one and a duped one?

In the end, pot call the kettle black much? You seek to lie, the worst kind of cheat, the kind that can not be trusted.

Buz of, I have wasted far too much time on you.

Yes, I could be banned, but you remind me of the southern end of a northbound horse.

"I have no issue with duping, it creates a copy of an item that the game naturally made."

You have to earn your guns, not cheat them into your inventory.

People like you ruin multiplayer, and you're the reason why I only play with my wife and friends. You ruin the game for strangers.

I want to complete my challenges because I'm obsessive compulsive about finishing things completely. The only people I could brag to are my wife and two best friends. And trust me, they already know about my OCD tendencies.

You cheat to kill opponents, win duels, and cheat *strangers*. That's filthy and disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

You have no clue what you are talking about, I don't dual, and I said I have no problem with, assume much? Just because you say you are OCD does not relieve you of being a liar. You were called and you are flopping about like a politician to make yourself look good.

Dupers don't hurt anyone, what you want to do does not hurt anyone, but dupers I will give honesty to, they are not lying, only making a copy of an item to share, helping each other, you, meh kinda looks self serving to me.

But you go on feeling superior if that rows your boat, I on the other hand don't mind playing with a duper, who knows, if something cool is found I might get one too, but with something likely close to four times the play time you have, I just might have all the cool things I want already on those mules I store things on for new toons.

Yes, I know, I said I was done, but, I guess I am as bad as you on completing things, well not AS bad, maybe near.

Buhbye now, you have fun.

"Buz of, I have wasted far too much time on you."

Another lie. You apparently do have time to waste on me. Let's see if you continue having time for me. Compounding lie upon lie if you reply yet again.

"Dupers don't hurt anyone"

I've already told you I've stopped playing internet multiplayer because of people like you, so this is obviously false. Dupers ruin multiplayer for me.

"But you go on feeling superior if that rows your boat"

You were the one who got on your high horse first. All this time I've simply responded to you. You wrote to me first. I'm simply replying to you in order to tell you how *I* see things.

I'd just go back to an earlier playthrough and 1 shot stuff with inexpensive rockets.

As far as getting badass achievements, you can always try Cheat Engine. It requires some work, though. You input the number you currently have (say 140), get another point in that achievement (141) and input the new number. Do that a few times and you'll eventually be able to manually adjust the points in-game to get your achievements.

As a side-note: people who duplicate weapons don't hurt you or ruin your online experience. I mean, you have to pick the duplicated weapons up. Sure, someone can say "take this gun", but you have to press the keyboard button to pick it up. They don't teleport it into your inventory or anything. Duplicators don't hurt anyone. As they say, it takes 2 to tango. If they "hurt you" or "ruin your experience" by dropping a gun at your feet, that's kind of sad. I don't play with online randoms too much either, but that's because I hate it when people ninja-loot my stuff and quit out. I'm not saying duplicating it isn't cheating, because it is. But getting achievements for nothing is also cheating.

Yeah... Lynchwood is my go-to map for that since you're really high up on the ledge shooting down at the baddies on the track. Still... it takes so long. I finished it before my prestige award, but unfortunately, I'm no longer a grad student and time is not as bountiful as it once was. I'm a little sad I reset all my challenges. ;-)

CheeseDude, I hear you. My main point (actually, my only point) was that it's ironic and silly to worry about one and not worry about the other.

Actually, it's kind of silly to worry about either since it's only a game. But I remember in Borderlands 1 when I used to play internet games and people would join my playthroughs with absurdly powerful guns they "got from others". Now I don't even bother. I play with a group of friends.

Personally, I feel that if you play with strangers on the net, you should be playing pure virgin characters.

But yeah... I totally hear you.

Yeah, in the first one people were using heavily modified guns. I remember this one guy I played with who had a rocket launcher that launched 9 rockets in one shot. It was pretty obvioust that the launcher was hacked because (aside from launching 9 rockets/shot) it one-shot Crawmerax. That sucks, because people with modded guns greatly alter the gaming experience. Suddenly it seems like you are sitting on the sidelines of your own game. Sure, a bunch of people I played with who had modded guns offered to give me their guns, but I decided that those weapons were far too illegitimate and decided to not take them. People were using editors to make weapons that normally would never appear in the game. As for the second Borderlands, I don't think that's a problem any more. As little random-online gaming as I do I wouldn't say I'm an authority on multiplayer legitimacy, but I haven't seen anything that looks like it'd never exist.
