Fatal Error when joining a friend, please help [RESOLVED]

Has anyone figured out this problem? I've seen some other people have had this problem recently. I can play solo, but when a ffriend trys to join my game he will crash, or I try and join his game my game crashes with a fatal error message.

Has anyone else ran into this problem and resolved it?

FIXED: For me my friend and I were in The Mines of Avarice DLC and this is where it was happening, to fix this all we did was one of us traveled to Sanctuary and then the other joined just fine, then we travled bac kto The Mines of Avarice and it worked fine!

So just travel to sancturary before joining one another, then travel back to where ever.

Me and my brother hit this multiplayer only bug. Travelling to Sanctuary first worked a treat, thank you!

call me vecna the way i be liching this thread but this is still the case as of 2025/05 and i hope you too find that this bug is strange and mysterious as me and my 2nd did
