Of course you also have to make sure to look around carefully, to try to make sure that you don't miss it when one does finally drop.
I assume that you're farming KD from the exit to Southern Shelf, and not from Claptrap's place.
I don't think the number of players has much, if any, effect on designated drops, like getting a Hornet from KD.
'Now for a quick aside based on some information hidden in that List definition image. You know that cryptic tooltip you get when loading a map about how the more players you have the better your loot? What this tip actually means is a question I have heard multiple times from fans and now is a great time to shed some light on it. The number of players in the game has an impact on the amount of loot that you receive while playing Borderlands. In a multiplayer game there are some values in the game that change based on the player count.'
so technically not 'false information'

I guess I'll just have to keep at it, at least I know it's nothing wrong with the game.
Happy holidays! :D
"In order to solve the problem we actually made the chances of loot dropping from any individual enemy go down the more players you have."
but to answer the OP, yeah just bad luck with the rng that's all. just keep at it, and eventually it will drop.
I guess, but, again, I think that's just general loot. You get more loot, so you may be more likely to get a good random drop. But that may not have any effect on designated drops.
