Farming relics and class mods

Any tips on where to reliably farm relics and class mods that are blue or purple rarity?

Edit: forgot to mention that I'm thinking about the first two playthrough's, so loot midgets are rare at best.

Legendary loot midgets, preferably in Doctors orders mission. Plenty of E-tech relics, good chance of Legendary mods (and Red hyperion chest if you farm them in Preserve with Doctors orders on).

Blue-purple mods can be farmed at vending machines in sanctuary. There're 3 zeds dispensers and each may have good mod as item of the day. Just bring cash and restart in Sanctuary till you get one.

The Golden chest always gives you purple or blue items, but you'd have to get lucky and get class mods or relics. And unless you use a cheat, you can only open it so many times.

If you have the Mercenary Day DLC, the chest after the boss always contains some of everything, including relics and class mods, but getting blue or purple versions, especially in Normal Mode or TVHM, is a matter of luck.

BNK3R is another possibility. He seems to usually drop a few relics and class mods, and blue and purple ones don't seem that unusual, although, again, that may depend on the mode/level. Similarly, you could try the Warrior if you've gotten that far, since he drops a lot of miscellaneous stuff.

To start off with, i got a level 30 relic from one of the pirate chests in oasis. I'll do Marcus Mercenary day tomorrow or something along those lines, getting late. Thanks for the tip, Waste_of_Skin!

Thre best relics(also the easiest to farm) are in Tundra express and also doingthemission Doctors Orders. Farming theboxes where the midgets are.
However...it is starting in level 50 and up where you get the best and most plentiful relics.

The point was that I'm playing with a melee zero and I need a blue/purple class mods as well as a good low level cooldown relic. At least I got a 27% relic, now I'll just have to go and farm class mods tomorrow. Good night everyone, and thanks for all the input!
