Why is there not a quest for Hunter Hellquist?

Do I need to do some other side missions in order for it to be available because so far I haven't done any side missions?

Mordecai gives you the mission to go after him.

I know but he has no missions for me, I did 2 missions from him but he still hasn't got it...

You may not be far enough in, it is a level 28 mission after toil and trouble I think.

Well, if Mordecai does not have the mission now then you likely have it or have done it. Just go to the boneyard, go east of the fast travel to the building, ride the elevator up, open a door and kill that loud mouth

Just go to the location, if you have played CO-OP another person may have accepted the mission. If you look in mission list <L> you can see if it is an active or completed mission. Also, by going there you will know because before you get the mission you can not ride the elevator up, once you have gotten it you can and once completed you can redo it each time you start the game.

Looks like this it the answer, I found one of mine that is level 27 on Talon of God and this it not available yet so go on with the story.

After you turn in toil and trouble mordecai will have the quest ready. Currently using the bee to farm a sham and fatale

You must accept the quest before accepting Talon of God. Otherwise it will be available from mordechai again after you kill the Warrior.

You need to get the first echo called "This just in" then head over to mordecai, he will give you the mission with the same name. also the news stand is in the middle where the sanctuary structure is.
