Fink's slaughterhouse TVHM WTF!

So uh...I haven't played this arena in my first playthrough but now I decided to try it in True Vault Hunter Mode and I died like 4 times in the FIRST round. Everything kills me ludicrously quickly (pretty much instantly...), I can't really run because then I just run into other enemies and trying to hide is not really an option either because I always got surrounded and murdered horribly.
The only semi-viable strategy I have found was to shoot goliath's in the head, sit in the corner patiently waiting for them to clean up the room and hope the game doesn't decide to spawn 4 super badass maniacs at once...
Is this supposed to be a raid arena or am I just that terrible OR is my gear terrible? I'm using lvl 40 Shotgun 1340, lvl 39 blue pistol with fire effect and level 39 purple sniper rifle with shock effect, I swap the third weapon for whatever else I might need at the time.

It depends on if your gear is matching your level. Fink's Slaughterhouse is definitely solo-able.

Also, who are you playing as?

Oh I thought I wrote it in there...but I haven't :D I'm gunzerker, level 43, putting skill points in brawn all the way down and now I started rampage a little bit. I don't have almost any issues whatsoever with the main game's difficulty (except for badass buzzards...screw those). I don't know...that arena just spawns way too many badasses and super-badasses and whatnot at the same time and I just can't handle it.
*I actually finished the first round but I'm not gonna try the other ones for now...I can only take so much beating x)

Lots of fire works well in there. I don't remember what level fink's is in tvhm? If you guns are underleveled by 2 or 3 levels, that would make it tougher than it should be.
